well something to keep in mind is that if you only needed one of the books the package would probably only have one of the books in it.
i'm thinking it is a bit more obvious than having to read them, but i think it's collective. i'm honestly stumped with this, though. |

I think the opposite, actually. That's exactly what Daniel is doing and that's probably what anyone that isn't accustomed to looking for hidden clues would do first. "I have the books so I'll read the books." It just seems to obvious. Maybe the reason why Daniel is doing the obvious is so we won't have to do or shouldn't do.

I was thinking along the same lines as you, especially if this is an XX/Xy puzzle. I'd imagine that the book numbers could represent the X's. As for the y's...I have no clue on that one.

I think obviously the one is Secret of the Forgotten City, which I said is about the kids searching for Gold in Nevada/Las Vegas.
The one looks like Password to Larkspur Lane, which is about a old lady being held prisoner in a mansion and a strange clue that Nancy has sent to her (Blue bells will be singing horses!).
There has been so much about gold and yellow these last few days.

... all keeping in teh theme with the file title, and then I was thinking about when Bree had to learn symbols or whatever.. IDK
