Well, in the hopes that the answer which is "before you" is in the books, book assignments are as follows:

The Clue in the Diary: imagin, Sora
The Quest for the Missing Map: PnkTinkerbelle, Nillawafers
The Secret of the Forgotten City: janesalteredstates
The Secret of the Old Clock: girlAnachronism

We are specifically looking for anything in the books that might be a "subtle clue." This could be something that Nancy has to deal with, and we can gain inspiration from the way she solves it. This could also be something associated with the quotes pulled from the books for the first Nancy Drew drop. It could also be something else entirely. The idea is to have some "experts" on each book. When you finish reading the books, please post a brief synopsis of the plot here, along with anything you might discover. Thank you, volunteers!

if you want to screen cap the video, just hit print screen then ctrl+c and paste it into paint. it's probably going to be the only thing that works.

It will not work on either of the vid editing programs I have. Some programs block the print screen function.

Haha, those were definitely three of the first ten I tried. Ukiah totally should have been it, damnit.

(P.S. Check out the first few pages of the thread for passwords that have been tried, so the sames ones aren't being tried over and over again)

I think obviously the one is Secret of the Forgotten City, which I said is about the kids searching for Gold in Nevada/Las Vegas.

The one looks like Password to Larkspur Lane, which is about a old lady being held prisoner in a mansion and a strange clue that Nancy has sent to her (Blue bells will be singing horses!).

ok well assuming this is right and that the fifth book is the first in the series then the books daniel has are:

The Secret of the Old Clock - #01
The Clue in the Diary - #07
The Password to Lackspur Lanen - #10
The Quest of the Missing Map - #19
The Secret of the Forgotten City - #52

I really, really, really don't think the one book is Secret of the Old Clock. But that basically is about a missing will, which is hidden inside this old clock that doesn't work. But I just really keep looking at that book and I'm positive it's got three words. I'm thinking The Hidden Staircase or the Haunted Showboat. But I think more likely the Hidden Staircase.

I have the books, I'm getting ahold of them tomorrow if this isn't figured out by then. I just don't think it's -inside- the books, something about the books themselves. The titles, the numbers of the books...

Clue, Password, Secret, Quest, Hidden...I just think they all make sense somehow.

Bah.

Maybe the years they were released? That particular edition? Which are the yellow-spined editions.

Has anyone checked Tachyon's You tube profile tonight? I wouldn't know if it was any different, because I don't check it unless there is a new video.

And no, the screen shot still isn't enough. (I'm frustrated here... I can *almost* see it unaltered on my screen when it's paused and full-screen, but can't cap the darn thing.)

So I'm going to go read instead.

Hey, Deja, I want you to know I gave you credit for that when I first posted it.
