I see orange slurpees all over the image! OMFG.

I don't see a skull in the picture at ALL. The only thing I can sort of see is like, a figure in robes, but I still think that we are overanalyzing all of this.

There's no way to seperate layers in a .jpg. They're already merged. Also I doubt Tachyon expected Bree to be some sort of Photoshop whiz.

I think the image looks the way it does because hell, just putting those symbols on a plain white or black background is pretty boring looking.

No way man, I totally see Mona Lisa... like right in the middle.

Damn, you're right! Let me work on that Smile It's a reverse image.

I think we're looking too hard to find a single image that we've vastly overlooked what it likely is... a collage. I'm fooling around with the images in photoshop.

For the most part the backgrounds of the two are the same. Which is beneficial because they have different color saturations, giving interperative play between the two.

I'm going to play with the images a bit more then upload them. Where can one get free image hosting?

You can host the images for free on photobucket.com in jpeg format.

Try inverting the colors on one of the images and layering on top of the other with 50% opacity ... and variations like that. In another ARG (LOST, The Experience this summer), there were images that looked almost the same, but when they were layered, text popped out very clearly.

I would try this, but do not have photoshop at the moment.

Okay. I've uploaded the two images including a copy of amalg that has the differences I can note between the two backgrounds circled.

I circled in three different colors to eliminate confusion.
The red circle contains a dot on the background that isn't on the other.
The green one contains a line from top to bottom that isn't on ligature either.
In the blue circle it appears to be a debossed version of the same watchers symbol from the ligature image.

You can also see the edges from all the images that seem to be collaged together in the ligatures image. Thank you photoshop levels.

Yeah, I noticed the blue circled eye thing when I was messing with the hue and saturation..sometimes it looked almost black, but it was still hard to see.

hi... so I've been reading a while and thought I'd jump in...

looking at the symbols, it seems like the amalgamation jpg file and the txt file are just to explain the idea of combining them, so I'm seeing the ligatures jpg file symbols as the main event. "It is Greek; it cannot be read." So should it be counted? other people in this thread have listed numbers but here are the values of those ligatures according to the (additive, hm... amalgamative?) Greek numeral system:

tau + omicron = 300 + 70 = 370
sigma + [lambda or gimel] = 200 + [30 or 3] = 230 or 203
theta + pi = 80 + 9 = 89
(the repeat of the theta + mu Op Aphid symbol is blurry, making me think it's more of a label, reminder, etc., but it = 49)

OK, I don't know what else to do with that... anyone?

Also, origins of those letters (according to the wiki Greek alphabet page) from the phoenecian, which in turn was derived from egyptian hieroglyphs:
tau comes from taw (signature or cross)
omicron comes from ayin (eye)
sigma comes from shin (sun)
lambda comes from lamedh (cattle prod)
gimel = (camel)
theta comes from teth (wheel or good)
pi comes from pe (mouth)
mu comes from mem (water)

seems like a dead end.

another sort of interesting but probably just coincidental train of thought. why gimel? when all the rest are Greek letters (except the reference to Nun)... Gimel also happens to be the High Priestess of the tarot deck (see wiki "gimel" disambiguation page). And there is that connection with the creators of the Rider-Waite deck being members along with Crowley of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. (but I think I read something in one of the threads about Tachyon/OpAphid/someone not liking tarot?) On that card in that deck, the high priestess is seated at the Temple of Solomon -- AKA the First Temple. that's funny, weren't we just wondering about "where it all started"? OK, just a coincidence. but she also has a crescent at her feet, and there was a crescent on Crowley's clock in the 1st Nancy Drew book. weird -- but then again, you can make connections out of anything. I just thought it was funny.

There appears to be a man with intense eyes and a large nose peering out of the center of the image. Also the rose on the lower left becomes a bit more obvious to me.

Then again, may be it's just a Rorschach.
I SEE IT.
It's part of the outline of one of the ripped papery layers on the right one. :3

And am I the only one who sees The Ring on Sauron's hand in this picture?

I take it as a major sign to sleep. *ignores*

I found a man and a girl on the far right - I find it easier to see them in black and white without all that confusing yellow stuff

On ligatures there is some sort of torn paper-like object that curves around the top of the big man's head

But on amalgamation it doesn't make this turning and covers their heads.

in the new video - Men are from Mars - Bree says

"when a problem arises, a man wants to deal with it as quickly as possible, whereas a woman wants to sort of talk it through and and look at it from every angle. The problem with the man's approach is...it tends to not really solve anything."

to solve... look at the pictures/symbols from a different angle?
