I understand sometimes you set things up so that later they are available to go back to, like when Jonas used the cell to call ahead to the cabin. If you don't go back it becomes a red herring but I also think you can go to that well too many times. |
Yep, it kind of becomes a catch-all crutch, and it really stinks to high heaven after a while.

Let's hope we don't see a new outbreak of 15 Claudia's, that would not be good, to say the least. If the Creators can manage to keep the speculation down about the non-canons, by sending non-canon character posts immediately into the thread for that, then they may be able to control it. But, yeah, a couple of new canon characters would be nice.

No, not at all. I think you do have to stay true to the heart of the character. In Training Hard, Bree said "So, I brought along an old friend. I haven't really had much time to hang out with him lately, so, yeah. And to be honest, I think I'm a little old to be playing with stuffed toys. Sad but true." I would have preferred she said, "So, I brought along an old friend. No not to talk- when I look at him it I remember how things used to be. It takes me to a safe place in my mind and reminds me that the Order has taken all that away from me." You do that and no longer is PMonkey and imaginary friend or toy, it becomes a symbol. Same thing with Proving Science Wrong. Bree is supposed to have a scientific mind she could use those skills to help herself. It obviously wouldn't be as lighthearted, on the contrary more serious and probably more of Proving Science Right. In a way keeping things like these that many feel are at the heart of the character but sort of growing them with her not only acknowledges their significance but in a way pays homage to them instead of just tossing them away or leaving them behind. Again IMO it's providing the B between the A and C of her character development. |
Yes, of all the things that have suffered because of the conflict between the ARG and the videos themselves, Bree's character has suffered the most. I hate it that I don't like her anymore. However, I will give her another chance. Creators, let's have a strong confidant Bree that is in harmony with the characteristics of the earlier sheltered Bree. I know you can do it.
And you are right. They missed some golden opportunities to forge a bridge between what Bree must become, and what she was and is. The writing could definately be improved on all fronts.

If they are going to intertwine them again, I'm hoping they've learned from the mess that was made last time. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt; I think it can be done. With this being so experimental, there were bound to be some stumblingblocks and pitfalls that weren't foreseen. But one thing I sure don't want to see is numerous puzzle-solving vids. That is not acceptable, IMO.

I think they've learned from their mistakes, and hopefully it will work better this time. Anyway, I'm glad you're staying.

I'm excited for Alex and Bree to meet. In Parallax, they were saying that if Alex is an Orderite, that could mean trouble for poor Bree.

Well, one thing I definate think is resolved, is that we won't be lagging along like we used to. I think we're going to be seeing some things busting loose <crosses fingers>.
A showdown between Alex and Bree (if it happens), would require a much stronger Bree, IMO; and I'm hoping that's what we will get.

Hate to disagree with LGPedia...and other fine minds on the forum... but he definately says drunk. It's really obvious to me.

I'm almost sure he said "phone number" not file....I guess I'll have to give it another listen.
Edit to say that I think I might be confusing two different parts of the video, so I'm going back to have another look.
