/me throw in my 2 cents.
Ok. In regard to the argument over fps for bullets, and supersonic speeds. (Only high powered rifle bullets break the sound barrier, not handguns, so... but that's not my point)...
In the vid, I do not believe that the bullet broke the lens, but rather the fall to the ground.
It is possible then, that the bullet struck the Chaser, prior to the sound reaching them, and his forward momentum carried him forward a couple of steps till he stumbled and fell, striking his camera (head mounted / eyeglass- cam / handheld / or otherwise) and breaking the lens.
(This would explain also why no blood or other splatter is viewed on the lens.)

With the proximity of the San Bernardino/San Gabriel mountains in the background, and the many foothills, the most likely place that this chase took place is just South of Victorville off of the I-15, but North of the Cajon Pass.

If this is true, then they would have fled quite a ways before being caught, or did they flee on foot from a facility in the neighborhood/area?
Also, the last verified location of Link from dehteraew was Los Angeles, so he is close (closer than his earlier posts, in NoCal).

Okay what I just noticed about this video is that there is no sound up until the gunshot. While the man is running to get Bree, you don't hear his footsteps. You don't hear any breathing or anything. The entire audio seems to be added in music and freaky noises. Is this just a mistake of the creators, or is it significant that suddenly you hear what's happening at the sound of the shot?

I think you guys are off base about who got shot and who did the shooting. The person who did the shooting was a bad guy; Order or OpAphid, I don't know and i don't care. The reason this is true is that Bree keeps running. If it had been a rescue, she would have stopped or at least changed direction. She did neither, so the threat was still there.

Jonas has not escaped.
* In the last video, Jonas says he is sick and that his legs aren't working. He shows this when he tries to get out of the bathtub. If Daniel was to escape, and rescue Bree, he'd have to do it alone.

Daniel took the camera off the wall and brought it with him.
* He's a techie, he likes to be on the back side of a camera. He's in trouble, the best way to get a heap of help is to post the escape as soon as he can find an Internet Cafe. He knows we'll be anxious about the team and will be watching for him. In the previous video, he leaves the camera view for a minute and you can hear a loud noise. That's him acquiring the camera. In the start of this video, the camera shows Daniel. (connected, recording to server) Shows static (disconnected) Shows empty bath. (disconnected, Daniel holding it, recording to memory) If he had simply disconnected the camera, there would be no empty bath shown.

It's Daniel taking all the camera shots:
* The alarm goes off when Bree escapes. Daniel recognizes that this is what must be happening so he heads out into the desert hoping to catch up with her. He hopes to use the camera zoom to help him.
* He locates Bree and they run together. Note that the camera gets absurdly close to Bree without her startling or freaking out. She wouldn't have that reaction unless the camera man was friend, not foe. She also wouldn't stop and talk to Daniel. There are bad guys chasing them! They have escaped a harrowing experience and they are NOT safe! They're going to run like hell!
* This video was obviously edited by the Order. They would have cut anything that would have shown who took the pictures so that they wouldn't look stupid.

* The description with the video has been translated to include Daniel shot... Had it been Daniel shot ____. it would have been counter to Daniel's personality. Besides, how would he have gotten a gun? Per my other posts, this is corroboration that Daniel was downed. Also, were it a bad guy shot, Bree wouldn't have continued running. She would have stopped to meet her rescuer.

If Daniel took the camera, why is there a shot (after the disconnection) of an empty bathroom with the alarm going off? And why would he stop, hide behind multiple bushes, and zoom in on Bree? And the fact that the bathroom camera didn't have the "spotlight" (I don't know the technical term) effect that the second one has.
Pus, I don't think Bree would just continue running, while a lot would say that it's a "save yourself" situation.. Bree hasn't let her own welfare stop her from checking on her loved ones. (Her "father's" apparent shooting) |
