Happy, playful side, indeed! She probably is basing the clown imagery off of the clown phobia that plagues many people, and using this as part of her mood in the video.
It would be interesting, though. And yes, I'm terrified of clowns, even after visiting the circus every year when I was younger.

it's at 14 seconds, i have it paused, i don't want to move it until i can get a screen cap
