I have a feeling the UK is really tied into the series/religion somehow _________________ -Kelly |

Woot! Finally some info! *bounce*
Havn't been able to find anything on theis "Hymn of One" other than what you guys have (ooo, faust! Cool), but it got me thinking about external sites and information being planted as part of the storyline.
Do you think the creatortrons would set up sites out there or seed info on the net as a further part of the story?
In any case, I'm sure that fans will... so the longer we keep looking the more info we are likely to find, but the rate of 'correct-ness' or 'canon-ness" is likely to go down
Then there's the issue of putting up sites/info that look real but are actually fake, and having (non-game) people out there take it as real...
Hmmm...
Anyways, back to woot! Finally some info! *bounce* _________________ Jonas: I don't care, I don't care! Idon'tcareIdon'tcareIdon'tcare... I don't care. You can't come and I don't care.

Ooo... haven't posted here much but I wanted to jump in and yell that I go to the university of Edinburgh.... and my brother did too and used to study philosophy. SPOOKY.
No-one recruited him to the order as far as I know, though.
But just to be safe I'll avoid the philosophy students from now on :O |

What really stands out to me in this video is the discrepancy between Bree long ago saying her parents met whilst her mother was having a spirited debate with a professor regarding free will, yet now saying her mother changed from reserved to spirited after having already been coupled with her father for some time.
Huh? |
That was my immediate reaction as well, Kisselle.
Sorry, Marbella, but there is no reference in the article you linked to a "Hymn of One." The article discusses "Caedmon's Hymn," but the word "one" is not part of the title of that "nine-line alliterative vernacular praise poem in honour of God." Not sure what you're referring to.
That said, I genuinely did not expect anyone to come up with any references to "Hymn of One" at all, and was pleasantly startled to find that the title actually appears in Faust. Well done. I've never read it, but know the basic theme. Does anyone think that the "selling one's soul to the devil" idea that is articulated in Faust might be a very subtle reference to what this "religion" is really about -- IOW, selling one's soul (in a more metaphorical fashion) to the Order? |

After this video I'm just wondering the point of the ceremony if not a religious one.
I know there's some speculation here, but it all seems religious based. _________________ I don't like Bree anymore.

wow, I got here late. anyway..
i def. agree that this idea of Bree being closer to her Dad is a little off since she said how strict he was and all that...
and i'm confused too, if the religion is just a front for this world power controlling organization, why is there such a need for the ceremony to happen?? I just don't see it.
and yes, I too have the REM song in my head now. _________________ My name is Marilee, like the adverb. not like Bob Marley, but like the kids song, Row. Row. Row your boat... |

From LGPedia:
Despite his strict and overprotective nature, Bree's father has a close relationship to her and in other respects seems the softer of the two parents. He encouraged her studies in science and also enjoyed taking her out to watch mystery movies. He also had a role in her homeschooling, as evidenced by his mention of their conversations about Richard Feynman and Jared Diamond. |
You just love to point out me being wrong...
but I'm not.
You are referring to something in the Bree-getting-closer to her dad portion of things after she was on her run. You go and read any transcript in Bree's sneaking out phase and you'll see what I'm talking about. She says quite clearly that she usually goes to her mom when her dad says no because her mom is less strict and sometimes can prevail on him- but in that particular episode (in which you hear the parents talking in the background) Bree reports that her mom wasn't able to prevail upon her dad on this one. In that phase she was DEFINITELY closer to her mom and her dad was the bad guy. It is not fair to refute me with a fact which only came on later on, because that was a whole different time when the plot and characters had changed, as Bree's mom became the evil one while her dad became the good one reaching out to Bree. _________________ Check out: Funniest LG15-related episode... ever?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ6kBdNegfs |

Really looks like things are going to move along now, if the creators have gone to the trouble of creating this myspace.
I'm really excited to see where it all leads..... _________________ Can't we all just get along? |
