lol I just had a rave flashback...
I remmeber parking an hour away... walking along the reef and my friend had to go to the bathroom... so since we were walking in the dark and no one was around... (and him being "so filipino")... he decided to whip it out and face the sea while walking pretending nothing was happening
so I noticed and I was like "BJ! wtf you doing! lol"
we laughed the whole way there
I wonder if I could make a Rave eperiences thread

on saturday night, i went to Caffeine, and I didnt have a state issued id. that was fun trying to scam them lol. they totally took my body paint

ok, what was the hand sanitizer for? I don't remember that. PS I think you forgot pacifiers...and you should start a rave thread. I remember thinking I was a genius for figuring out that you could put those tiny glowsticks in your mouth...until I chewed on it and it exploded in there. Then they came out with those glowing mouthpiece things a couple years later....fu*kers.

back in the day (ok a bit older than a few)...i dont think it was actually called a rave...they just played that techno hop in all the clubs around town! My boyfriend has about 200 of those old school records>

We just call them 'parties' here. for insane fear of the authorities lol. mainly because Denver's rave scene is mostly undergroun, and un noticed. And 90% of the raves here are underground and illegal. (minus global dance fest, caffeine, glo, and brainwash). The clubs play the music. But they don't so much like it when we come marching in with candies up to our elbows, covered in body paint, in our underwear >_<

Thanks. I still try to offer info on Thelema. Of course, it's on YouTube and tannhaus.com...where several other Thelemites spend some time as well. That way, it's not just my point of view, you get others as well. You can see us disagreeing on points, see all the debates, and get a better feel of the overall subject.
Of course, with the new developments in the LG15 series, I no longer feel any loyalty towards LG15. This idea that you can take the prophet and writings of a religion....make them out to be some evil thing, and just because you don't CALL it by the name of that religion it's ok.... bah
I've now hit over 200 subscribers on YouTube. I now have tannhaus.com. Even though the idea for the YouTube videos came from my experience here and the fact people didn't know anything about us nor Crowley, it's obvious that people all over the place are interested in learning a little about it. So, I try to spend my time helping where it can do the most good.
But, I do appreciate the people here who were my friends when they were. I don't think a lot of people got me in this forum. They couldn't see things from my perspective. I remember you and I had an argument in which you were saying you couldn't see why I couldn't just make silly videos and "have fun". But, what I'm doing is a lot of fun to me.
When my girlfriend first got here, she was sorta worried that she would say something wrong about spirituality and I'd get upset with her. But, she slowly realized that as long as she respected my beliefs, I'd respect hers....no matter how much they clashed. So now she quite often disagrees with me.
I do my best to keep Thelema out of the relationship. I can't do it all the way since it is a big part of my life, but I do it enough that she doesn't feel like I'm trying to convert her. She also feels like that is a PART of me, and not all of me. We're both happy with me being an agnostic Thelemite and her being a normal agnostic. I'm not looking to convert anyone...especially her.
Sorry for the rambling. I just woke up. But, back to the original post, there are a lot of people that I appreciate in this forum...for the friendship they gave me when they did....romanceismusic, kasdeja, Mirage, etc. Of course, I also appreciate my fellow Thelemites who have been friends through all of this, such as SororYZBL and Maxomai. Then there are those that came after I started pulling away from the forums such as apotheosisAZ and trainer101 that I'm sure I'd have become good friends with had I spent more time here.
But mostly, I appreciate these forums because I met my girlfriend here. We've been living together since November and it's been amazing. We have so much in common, I think it's awesome we found each other. |

Thank you. I think it's less reinventing myself and getting out of the situations where I couldn't be myself or the real me was overshadowed by drama.
Then there's also the fact you had people extremely intent on putting words in my mouth and accusing me of saying something I never did. |
