Another possibility, as far as air travel goes...

When a friend of mine visits here from Chicago, she uses Southwest. On their website, you can sign up for "Ding" - which might help get cheaper rates. The only problem is, sometimes you have to wait for the rate to happen...and it isn't guaranteed that it will.

But boy, when you can get a rate, they're GOOD ones!

On specific location... We've asked The Creators about whether they'd be better with staying in LA Proper or whether being in an outlying area will work for them. We are trying to find a venue that will be "cost-effective" (read: cheaper!), and I think location may make a difference on that.

I think my price is a reptty set price since i"m coming from canada. It'll be 550-650 bucks after taxes and everything no matter what. Unless I fly stand by which I don't think i have patience for.

Well I think I pretty much convinced my parents to let me go. It took a lot of strategic planning and convincing on my part, but they want to see some weird museum thing in LA anyway, so I told them they could go see that while I'm at the gathering/convention thing. Very Happy

alright...so i think i've planned out how i'm getting my money...and it took some arm and leg pulling...and some fibbing...in a sense. But i think it'll work. I may not need a place to stay, but to the peeps who offered their lving room floors to me: keep that space open because I may still need it...i'll let you know.
I need to purchase the ticket before the end of next month, so...i have four weeks basically to secure $600 for the plane ticket, and probably another couple of hundred for spending money (mmm ... going to live off of mcyd's for a week...*sings i'm lovin' it*

But I think I can defiantely 100% say that i'm going now.
