FWIW, here are my thoughts. First of all, I think Taylor "fits" a lot of the expectations The Creators have put forth. Primarily the quality of filming, editing, lighting, etc...
As for how "likable" she is, I've noticed that the forums seem to show "mixed" reviews of her personality, acting ability, and likability. While all the other "New Girls" seem to have a greater majority of negative posts, often referencing the wrong age, bad lighting, bad acting, inconsistent editing, etc...
To me, a mixed review is a good review, because it provides more for the fanbase to discuss. Whereas a bad review is just that - bad.
Also, there's enough intrigue surrounding her character that I see a lot of possibilities for character development. As always, The Creators will likely take baby-steps, analyze the viewer response, and create the show we want to see.
I just hope we all want to see the same thing...
That all being said, I don't think she could ever replace Bree, but I do see her being a fresh addition to the ever-thinning story line. _________________ ~ §macko ~

I liked the new video a bit more. There was almost some proper emotion in it as opposed to performing. And I'm starting to appreciate the subtle things she incorporates into the story, like the thing about her Mum acting kind of outspoken and arrogant - sound familiar? Plus I'm keen to find out what the deal is with her sister. Hopefully she'll stop talking about soccer at some point. _________________ Cut scene to BDJ in a lubed-up cuddlefest. |

Agreed. (While I enjoy soccer, I don't like it that much ) _________________ ~ §macko ~

First of all, I adore Taylor for 2 reasons: She's original, trying to be least like Bree (come on, wouldn't it be nice if we had our new girl be not as naive as Bree was?), and she reminds me of how fun it was being a kid in high school. She may be over-acting but not too dramatically.
Now as far as her "sister" goes, I think its either Cassie(the way she posed as her sister and the note on her wall), or even Jules (god no). Either way, I think we're all going to be surprised.
I will cry if Jules does play the role over Taylor though... _________________ http://www.myspace.com/codenameladysolitary |

I thought I'd already posted in this thread. I liked this video. She worked some interesting information in around her soccer tale, and I thought she was pretty funny when she was copying her sister.
Anyone else think of hymnofone/Cassandra could totally be her sister? |

I did like this more than her first one, I actually cared a bit more about what she had to say this time.
I want to see her sister! Sounds just like me as a teenager
I even had a door a bit like that *cringes* though I didn't write Sylvia Plath quotes on it. Those were reserved for my notebooks...
*sigh*
I'm glad I'm not a teenager anymore! |

Dude. I really like Taylor. Even though Alessandra is my favorite, if I can't have her, I will totally go for Tayler.
Anything but Jules, and that other chick that I strongly disliked <_<. _________________

The things I like about Taylor are - the video quality is so much better than the others, and the acting in my opinion, is pretty fair. I'm not an expert on acting but I can tell you she has my attention.
I like that she's a little less naive than Bree. And I think she's interesting. |

I'd veto the emo-ranting. Honestly speaking, if we're going to make commentary on the sister, the idea is more mainstream gothic than anything else. Including the use of Sylvia Plath, the stylized crosses, the vampires, and the notably dark, romantic goth literature.
Moving on!
Bree wasn't homeschooled until after the kids at school made fun of her, if you remember. It's perfectly possible that most candidates aren't. Moreso, the idea of siblings? Kinda a fan of that. Yet, while we're looking for clues, we should be careful not to be jumping to conclusions. Keep an alert eye, but don't leap at shadows, eh? _________________ "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster,

There was a dead rose stuck in the ribbon board.
Gemma had a dead rose.
Then she was revealed to be all evil and then (in theory) she died.
So, hey, maybe we don't have to watch these for much longer? Hehe.
No, but I thought the dead rose was sort of significant when I saw it because so many people hopped over that with Gemma as it being sort of a sign of her sneakiness or whatever word that is I'm looking for.
Though it did technically belong to her sister, but whatever, I still thought it was sort of significant. In some manner, lol. _________________ O_O The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. O_O |

Taylor is most definitely my favorite. She's really good with the camera and her story is interesting. She doesn't jump right to the chase like the other girls. She gets us interested with her life first. _________________ I vote the newgirl be itskassie. |

I have said in an earlier post that Taylor isnt the new girl. She cant be. She said shes a die hard lonelygirl15 fan. So she knows her whole story.
She may be a new part of the series for sure but not "the new girl" _________________ Dreams from the Breenaverse

Just found this on myspace. Is this Taylor aka "soccerstar"? So far I don't see anything suspicious - except for an unnatural love for soccer.

Nikki B, you're great, hehe.
Look at her pics -- the middle one is most definately from a portfolio of some sort, unless a girl who usually wears a soccer jersey normally gets dressed up with make-up and cute clothes for poses like that?
I doubt it, lol. But, that sort of solidifies the idea that she's a legitimate actor. I dunno if anyone still doubted it though. O_o _________________ O_O The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. O_O |
