Huh, something else, from this site (I get the strong impression that the writer is at odds with Scientologists, so I'm not sure how "kosher" to take all of this): http://www.factnet.org/Scientology/lrhoccult.htm
Quote: |
Hubbard and Parsons were attempting the most daring magical feat imaginable. They were trying to incarnate the Scarlet Woman described in the Book of Revelation as "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlot and Abominations of the Earth...drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus."(1 . During the rituals, Parsons described Babalon as "mother of anarchy and abominations". .........In fact, Hubbard and Parsons were committing sacrilege in Crowley's terms. Crowley respelled "Babylon" as he respelled "magic". His magick was entirely dedicated to Babalon, the Scarlet Woman. Crowley believed himself the servant and slave of Babalon, the antichrist, styling himself "The Beast, 666". For anyone to try to incarnate and control the goddess must have been an impossible blasphemy to him. Crowley, after all, called Babalon "Our Lady". |
A splintered fraction of a religious sect trying to accomplish something that would be considered blasphemous? |

I found this: http://www.religio.de/atack/occ1.html
Specifically, this part:
Quote: | However, Garrison retained copies of thousands of Hubbard's documents and showed me one which had been referred to in the Armstrong trial. The Blood Ritual is an invokation of the Egyptian goddess Hathor, performed by Hubbard during the late 1940's. As the name suggests, the ritual involved the use of blood. Hubbard mingled his own blood with that of his then wife (the girlfriend he had stolen from Parsons and with whom Hubbard contracted a bigamous marriage.) |
Probably nothing, but a good indication of how horrid my sluething skills are. |
Hubbard??
Like L. Ron Hubbard? the inventor of Scientology?? |
And hooby dooby Sci Fi writer, first and foremost, lol. |
hehe. I don't know too much about him, other than what I've read on clambake, which is a AntiScientology site, that made me lose respect for Tom Cruise. That and the whole Oprahs couch thing.
Anyboots, a blood ceremony could fit in nicely with the visits to the doctor, the dieting, the iron pills, ect. I think we're definitely onto something. |
I'm not arguing with any of that, lol. Him starting off as a sci fi writer is just my jumping board against weirdos like tom cruise, lol. |

Not to pick apart every little thing...
Mods: is it important that Crowley's name is spelled Crowly on this thread?
I figure its just a typo, but I'm dying to take it as a clue, lol. |

Hee. I like to cause disruptions.
On Topic: Ok, I'm liking the idea of a Blood Ritual. Maybe a select group of others that are working against what their group believes..they're taking it one step further.
Edit: I love it..Tom Cruise is getting a lot of reactions. |

I found these symbols... I thought they were quite interesting.
Blood Ritual - Directs participants to location of possible blood ritual or used as an altar symbol.
Sexual Ritual - Directs participants to lacation of possible sexual ritual. Medallion or symbol of some occult groups.
Trident - Symbol of enforcement or security during more obscure ceremonies.[/img] |

Daniel ends his video saying
which I suppose would make sense....if he were one of us. But Daniel definately didn't notice the "10-12-06" clue. Why is HE in such a rush?
He's acting like he KNOWS the ritual is tomorrow, when he doesn't...
I dunno. struck me as kinda odd.
but then again, I suppose he does read these forums. |

I noted some comments about the timeline of the article. He says the article is from the 1940's, not that it is about events in the 1940's. It could be an article written years later about a mysterious, unresolved disappearance. So, I would not immediately discount it because of the timeline. Yes, he says "around that time", but that was in relation to when Crowley owned the house. So, the disappearance was around the time that he owned the house, which may have been in the past.
Oh, and walking up and down doesn't sound like much, but depends on what you are walking on and how far you walk, right? |

Wow... this article is scary.
This is a first person account (by one of its participants) of a blood ritual invented by Crowley called "The Mass of the Phoenix" He describes the best motives... the best times... best tools... and his own opinions, fears, and doubts. I think there may be a lot in this that we can use.
