!UPDATED!

As I transcribed this I noticed that far too many letter omissions for it to be chance. The text is taken from Revelations Chapter 1 verses 1 through 14. It appears to be the King James Version.

I’ve tried to convey the handwritten text as faithfully as possible.

I found it…you guys solve it!

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signi[f]ied it by his angel unto his sevant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he sw. Blessed is he that readeth, ad they that hear the words of this prophecy, and eep those tings which re written therein: for the time i at hand. John to the seven churches which re in Asia: Grace e unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own lood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion fr ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the endin, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, a[nd] for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and erd behind me a great oice, as of a trumpt, Saying, I m Alpha and Omega, the first and the lat: and, What thou sest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches whih are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unt Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, a unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candesticks; And n the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a lam of fir;

Notes: all the [brackets] denote what appears to be a mistake in writing (like a correction) and NOT an ommision

there are two ways of looking at this.

one, the omitted letters form a code which contains our next clue, or
two, the words with letters omitted form a code which contains our next clue.

it would take too long to try to solve both ways, as we only have tonight. we need to pick one or none.

I think option A seems more logical...especially after the bible page from La Cienaga Park.

Also, I think it's more likely that this is from a Gideon bible because that's the type of bible kept in hotel rooms...and because the page we found was from a Gideons

Cu, can you clarify the difference between your representation of letter omissions (e.g. "dominion fr ever") and the bracketed fragments (e.g. "signi[f]ied")? If you added the brackets when transcribing, how did you decide which was a handwriting mistake and which a genuine omission?

I get Fakhasabbogindheasecolfee , plus a missing "and"
here's the real scripture:

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. Missing letters as I -- who had a missionary kid childhood far more freakily biblical than Bree's -- could figure 'em based on the above:

[f] a k h a s a b b o g i [nd] h e a s e c o l f e e

Edited to add: Thanks for the rogue "I", Rick! Also, so help me, if this turns out to be another %&* anagram ...

Ok, but we're also missing a whole word - verse 13 starts out with AND, which isn't in the passage transcribed. (AND in the midst of seven candlesticks) Otherwise, I'm coming up with the same thing at this point.

Gideon Bibles are KJV, aren't they? They always used to be, anyway.

Wipipedia sez: "Gideons International is an evangelical Christian organization dedicated to distributing copies of the Bible (in either the King James Version or the New King James Version in the United States,"

That letter combination, with and without the letters in brackets, didn't add up to anything immediately obvious when I put it through the ROT-X applet and anagram generator over at unfiction. Maybe a Vigenere cypher with a phrase from Frank's blog as the key, or vice versa?

wilkie, I agree except I found another I. It's not "almighty. John" it's "Almighty. I, John"

so (omitting cu's bracketed letters which appeared in the writing but were just bad penmanship) I get

ooo, good eye, Rick! I went back and edited the extra letter into my post to avoid confuzeling (since the boards are so confusion-free at the moment ... wouldn't want to mess anything up, erm.)

and hey, with the "i" you found, at least part of this phrase anagrams into "cassie" ... whee ... Twisted Evil !

Two thoughts, neither of which may be helpful:

1. Has anyone tried running these letters, combined with the nonsense letters from Frank's "Private Thoughts" through an anagram generator?

2. Just looking at the letters in the order they've been listed here, I can see a rudimentary sentence, with some letters still missing: "Frank has a blog and he's - -" I have no idea whether that makes sense or it's my mind playing tricks on me...but could there be more missing letters no one's seen yet?
