Ok, did Bree call her Julie? I thought her name was Julia....anyway, not important. I can't take the Jules talk anymore, pick her as the girl or don't pick her (I'm leaning towards NOT picking her), but just get it over with. They must've chosen her, cuz she's the only one that Bree mentions, but I really really really really really (ok ya'll get the point) DON'T WANT JULES TO BE THE NEW GIRL!!!!!!!!!! There are so many good potential new girls, c'mon creators please give us a break and pick one of the girls we actually like and can pay attention to without getting annoyed. I guess they might not want to pick a fan though, because the fan will be privy to some stuff before the rest of us and could possibly let it leak. So if that's the case I can see why they wanna go with this girl, she may be the only 15-ish year old girl they know and they know she'll keep it under wraps. Oh well, since she's almost obviously the one whether we like it or not, I guess I'll just deal. I hope they get her part over with soon and try to make it as painless as possible, like ripping off a bandaid.
I like the hypnotizing idea, hope it works, that could be really interesting. _________________ Daniel gets stage fright

Since there isn't much information on the front page, do you think one of us should attempt to contact them, maybe under the guise of being interested in joining the Hymn of One?
It might be a silly idea, I'm just throwing it out there |
Not silly at all. Anyone want to be a spy?
Incidently, practically, I'm not digging this hypnotism idea. Some people do this to try to recall memories about being birthed and alien abduction. Often times, it boils down to the person being hypnotized creating a story based on the cues that the hypnotist is implanting in his/her head. For example:
Hypnotist (let's say Daniel): So, man, where are you in the room?
Hypnotized guy (Jonas): Dude, I'm in a chair, and I hear a voice.
DB: What's the voice saying?
OK, even in this simple example there's already a problem. The question, "What's the voice saying?" acts as a subconscious cue to Jonas that he can understand what the voice is saying. Now, yes, I know that while captive, they could talk to the voice, and thus obviously could understand it. BUT, the example illustrates that even the most simple of questions can assume too much and start to construct a narrative that doesn't necessarilly reflect that way things actually happened.
That all being said, I doubt the Creators will worry about that stuff. And honestly, I don't mind. The X-Files used this plot device in a couple of episodes, and I couldn't be happier that it's being used again. It's pretty awesome. I just typed all that out in case the Creators decide to take a more real-world approach to it. I hope we get to see one of the sessions. _________________ Girlfriend: What are you doing?

That's okay, I'm not offended at all I actually felt guilty speaking up against the series at all, but I think I've just reached my wit's end. It seems silly to ignore your fans, the very people supporting the series, when on mass they're telling you they don't like where the series is seemingly going.
Who knows, maybe I've just been studying for my university finals for far too long. I have zero patience for most things at this point, my brain is fried. |

I told you: Complete airhead.
It's not the only slip up with the Jules character, though. Read this about a deleted YouTube comment.

Bree doesn't come off to me as the type to be a Floyd fan. |

I have to say this... I LOVE the hypnosis idea! The thought of the two boys staring deeply into one another's eyes (okay, that sounded way more... intimate than I intended it to ) and psychobabbling about ...I dunno, past-life regression or memory recall just cracks me up. I swear, I had a dream not too long ago that the plotline would twist in the Freudian direction. *shrugs*
On another note: I want more Trio vids! Gah, don't get me wrong, I love new, quirky-er, hardworking Bree... I just don't know how many more of these "asides" I can handle before I need me some action!!! That is all. _________________ --[Sign me up for the post-punk revolution.]--

Sounds like you dislike Bree about as much as I dislike (Hate!) Jules To each their own, I guess. |

I'm skeptical that it is, but maybe...If it is a reference to the classic album, there are multiple avenues that you could explore. Such as...
1.) Is it a reference to the album art (a prism? wtf)
2.) Is it a reference to the track names or the lyrics?
3.) Is it a reference to the crazy sync-up that somebody can do with the album and the Wizard of Oz (AKA Dark Side of Oz)? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_side_of_oz
4.) Is it a reference to the theme of the album?
Good luck, if you choose to pursue it. _________________ Girlfriend: What are you doing?

Lurker, thanks for posting that link to the lgpedia - I didn't know about the YouTube comment Jules made. One other problem the Creators have to deal with (if Jules is canon) is that Jules posted her first video as a response to an LG15 video - Losing My Religion. That was where Bree actually named the Hymn of One and was really crticial of it... so it seems that if Jules is canon, and part of Hymn of One, she also knows all about what Bree went through.
If she really is the New Girl, then wouldn't she be a little bit worried about all this, and doing the ceremony? She knows who Bree is, so wouldn't she be excited about responding to her messages?
Or try to set the record straight like some of the other New Girls have done? |

Meh, not much of a video. It was really cute. I appreciate a slow burn but I hope something happens soon to tell us definitely who the new girl is. This waiting is torture.
But dang, Bree was as cute as humanly possible today. |

I think you might've just answered a question I had. I was wondering why Jules is so much younger than Bree if she really is supposed to do the same ceremony. Since she's younger, she may be more easily influenced (manipulated) by the religion, and thus wouldn't back out last second. Furthermore, if Jules is told by somebody in authority that, "Bree is bad and a liar," or something and she is more easily controlled, then perhaps that would be all she needed to drop her LG fandom. _________________ Girlfriend: What are you doing?

what else do they have to do? |
On Mythbusters, they hypnotized some cast and crew members and found that people remember more details of a traumatic events when they're hypnotized versus pure memory. _________________ I'm here hoping to work on my Mystery Solving Skills! |
