Basically that video confirms everything really that's been hinted at in the videos and then researched on the boards. But Daniel's friendship a lie? that makes me sad Sad

I agree, it's worrying she doesn't know what the ceremony involves. Does that mean she's doesn't know why she's been on the diet and been give the shots and the pills?

That's scary too. "Here, let's inject you with something, but we're not going to tell you what or why. You just have to trust us on this one!"

haha yeah, at 16 if anyone came near me with a needle, told me to take pills everyday and eat a seemingly restrictive diet.. well I don't think I would be so accepting Laughing

Still, crossed over, it's a really odd phrase.

I don't think so. But there's something weird about it to me, not because she said it but because it could have double meaning. In her context, she may feel like she's crossed a new point in her life, perhaps from child to somewhat of an adult, or crossed into a new level of faith. But "crossing over" is also a euphimism for dying.

Now, forgive me, but as a 16 year old I never used such a phrase.
It sounds odd.
Unless it's an American 'thing' and I'm making something of nothing. Someone put me straight?

or maybe, just maybe I've not been sleeping and am tired (damn cassie)

"Crossed" over, not passed.

Still, in America, Crossed and Passed are not really common words to use when someone is talking about a change in their life, or a life changing experience... The only time i've ever heard the term crossed over it was to pass onto the next level after death.

I suppose it could just link in to her faith, crossing over, being part of this wonderful ceremony, being maybe a respected figure in it instead of just a child.

I just thought of that Ghost Whisperer programme. "Is that light for me?" "Yes, it's your time to pass/cross over"..

That phrase stuck out for me because of that.

That’s the show I thought of when I heard it too. And, of course, every SNL parody ever done of it. Very Happy

I didn't think it was odd that she used the phrase. In high school, I often heard people use it in everyday conversation, almost always in reference to their faith. I live in the Bible belt, so it wasn't that unusual.
I've also heard it used as a reference to death as well.

It was creepy and sort of sad when she said it, though. I whimpered a bit inwardly....
She sounds as though she’s now completely open and accepting of the obvious brainwashing they’ve given her. In the beginning, especially with the restrictions placed on her social life by her parents, she rebelled a bit. There was hope.
Now...I’m almost scared that Daniel won’t be able to help her. She’s in deep. Sad

(edited for spelling)

Poor Bree, who knows what is to become of her.

I bet tomorrow we'll see a stalker video of Daniel at the ceremony that will leave us all hanging! Wink

I don't have any internet proof for this, but I think that "crossing over" is used in a ritual / anthropological context, where the celebrant (either through fasting and/or meditation) passes a threshold where your body and mind no longer struggle and suffer, and everything just kind of flows. But I'm no expert here.

Does anybody else think it's important that Lucy said "It's important to make sacrifices."
