For those that are unable to tell by my tattoos if they have seen them, then I will explain a bit about my beliefs here. I do not have a religion, I have a way of life, I was raised to believe whatever felt right for me and over they years and much meditation I have formed my own system of which I and a few others follow. I teach/run the Order of the Oak, which is a non-denominational pagan society on Vancouver Island where I assist people in finding the path that is right for them. I believe that violence has a time and place, so does being passive, but the key is to be centred and learn to tap into all aspects of yourself and nature in order to survive another day. Learning to respect yourself is the key to respecting others and knowing when you have had enough assists in relations with others. My thirst for knowledge makes people think I am Druidic (I am not though that is close), and my wanting of "væita bana sœmd" makes people assume I am a Viking (closer still)...

But I am none of those, I am only what I have to be, a Hand Of Karma; Balancer of the Scales; I am neutral in my views of the world and seek to keep the balance of nature on the level, to keep all tides from turning. My goal is to keep Karma in balance by doing what is needed on its behalf, but still striving to make something of myself.

Living a neutral life is a self sacrifice for the betterment of all.
Keeping balance is the key to our lives.

Namaste.

I go to a catholic school but I haven't been raised as one, I'm agnostic, so are my parents. I go to this school because it offers a good education quality, and we know other people who went to it.
Anyway, I respect everyone's beliefs since no one has ever tried to push me into believing in anything I don't want to believe in.

I was raised Roman Catholic. My mother is a French citizen and was raised in a very strict Catholic environment. My father and his family were Southern Baptist. Growing up I went to Catholic church on Sundays and then went to a Southern Baptist bible camp in the summer because my grandmother was a teacher and my grandfather was a Deacon, there. I never identified with the baptist religion and even felt uncomfortable there. Catholisism was fine with me until I started getting older and understanding more about things. Now, I guess I'm agnostic. I still identify with being 'raised Catholic' but I have a general problem with organized religions. I respect everyone's beliefs and find studying different religions fascinating. I love studying ancient civilizations and history, so the different religions pretty much go hand in hand. My husband's family are simply "Christian"...no demonination, I guess. When I've asked they just say "We're Christian." Aside from being married in their little church, which I didn't want to do but meh...I haven't been to church in several years. I just try to be a good person and do for others what I can, because that makes me feel whole. If there's a deity that recognizes this as good faith, that's nice, but I think people should be good people of their own accord rather than fearing damnation, personally. I don't think faith should be enforced with fear for your soul, that doesn't sit right with me. I still draw different beliefs from the Bible...but I also think other religions have made their way into my thinking as well. So, I'm just me. Smile

I'm not really religious. I was raised in a Christian environment - both Baptist and later a Christian cult that is kinda hard to explain, so I won't attempt to. Anyhow, the thing that turned me away was being forced to attend church as a teen... I saw that as an attempted brainwashing, and I'm the most stubborn person you'll ever meet (when I want to be), so forcing me to attend actually had the opposite effect. The whole experience left a bad taste, and I view organized religion with distrust and as an attempt to control the masses. But I also believe that all religions have valid points, and the truth is probably hidden in what they all have in common rather in what they don't.

No.. It was nothing like a Baptist church... It was almost like being Jewish but believing that Christ was the Messiah... Except that they also believed the Jewish calender was off, so the old-testament holidays that they have in common are on different dates...

I really didn't know that I was that interesting, but apparently some think I am. I just saw a post that someone made about me. I suppose I should be flattered that they would take out the time to research ME. But, they didn't do a good enough job at it, so I thought I would help.

First, yes, the tannhaus LJ used to be mine. I just deleted it. I hadn't used it for a year. I had "This journal is closed" on the profile and kept it for history's sake, but apparently people are trying to infer things from a closed journal. So, I went ahead and deleted it.

For those of you that saw the post in question, those friends I had added were simply people that I had added but didn't carry over to my new journal. As I carried one over to the new journal, I deleted them from my old one. So, I could see exactly who was added and who wasn't. Then, I just left the old journal.

As far as the communities, I had lots more than that. I do enjoy my nudity. Camwhores, incidentally, isn't a journal for nudity...it's regular pics.

But....and here's the treat. I've said in here that I spent two years with the hare krishnas. I've stated it in a couple of places. I've said things the hare krishnas believed or stated. Apparently, someone thought it was a scandal. So, I'm happy to oblige with....pics of me as a hare krishna!

Oh come on...you know it's sexy... Shocked

Yes I was quite...large. I still am...had a couple of car wrecks...messed my back up...herniated disk and such. So, for large parts of the past 3 years, I've been only partially mobile.

And I have me petting a bull....

No, I wasn't sticking my hand up its nose...I was just petting it....honest

Shocked

And for the last....as the person was doubting me being a thelemite for any length of time...

Yeah...that's a chat on Undernet #thelema in 1997. You can see, thelema and tannhaus are both highlighted. That was 9 years ago...I win. Razz

Wow, they still have chats like that anywhere? We barely have them IRL here.

Shocked Of COURSE you're that interesting, are you kidding? You certainly must know that! You are easily the most interesting person on this entire forum. I don't have any hard figures, but in my estimation at least 65 to 75% of the members who come into this forum only do so to hear what you have to say next, and to learn from you. How could you think you're not that interesting? You are THAT interesting, and MORE!

tannhaus wrote:

Well, of course not! Nobody on this forum ever does a good job explaining anything, we all need your help. That's why you are always helping us out, telling everyone where we are wrong, correcting us, educating us...ENLIGHTENING us. We are so honored to have a master such as yourself. I'm surprised we haven't been asked to pay fees yet, but when you're ready for payment, I'll be happy to fork over whatever you ask. Nobody can put a price on the enlightenment we get from you! And thank you for helping out the person who didn't do a good enough job at researching you. Maybe with your patience and teaching, they will one day come close to being as adept as you are at everything. Nah, on second thought, nobody will ever even come close!

I was WONDERING about that!!! I THOUGHT it was yours! I miss it so much, it gave me so many lessons and enlightenment, and I practically lived to read it every day to see what might be new. And as always, you are right - I DID try to infer things from a closed journal, so thank you for deleting it altogether so that my puny mind wouldn't be over-worked. You really do understand how stupid we all are and you care about helping us not overwork our small minds, and we love you for it!!! ThANK YOU!!!

Ooooohhh, OK, that explains it!!! It had been driving me nuts trying to figure out what happened!!! Thanks for clearing that up, tannhaus! I really appreciate it!

That's wonderful that you enjoy your nudity! How about bestialities? I'm thinking about enjoying bestialities myself, but not until I get the OK from you. Or, if you tell me not to, I won't. Whatever you say, I will listen. And about "Camwhores" - honestly, I don't think how anyone would think that's a journal for nudity. To me it was very clear that it's regular pics. I think "Camwhores" was a perfect title. Don't worry about the idiots who don't understand it, those of us who devoutly follow you know what you mean.

WOW, what a TREAT!!! Thanks for the pics, they are awesome!!! I just printed them all up and created a tannhaus shrine that make's bree's crowley shine look like crap!!! You are truly an amazing human being, tannhaus. Nobody else can be a hare krishna AND thelemite, and be so knowledgable about everything. You are unique and special, and clearly better than everyone else!!! I am honored just that you ever even acknowledge my existence, much less when you actually take your valuable time to enlighten and educate me!!! Thank you so much, THANK YOU!!!

HA!!! Take that, you moron, whoever you are that would doubt tannhaus is a thelemite for any length of time. Get this through your little bird brain, if tannhaus says it, then it's TRUE!!! UNDERSTAND, MORON???? Way to make that idiot look like the fool s/he is, tannhaus!!! That was AWESOME!!!

Definitely, you ALWAYS win!!! 9 years ago, that is a LONG TIME that you've been a thelemite, what idiot would ever doubt you???
