Do you mind if I ask where you got this information? I hate it when something comes up and I do not know anything about it, and I would like to look into it myself, not to fight you, just to inform myself.

You can find this information in a book called "Sex and Rockets", and parts in an anthology called "Book of Lies: Disinformation guide to the Occult". I wrote from memory, paraphrasing. I know a bit about the history of Thelema and the OTO.

Right at the beginning, the video mentions Aleister Crowley (quoted on Hymn of One’s official page) and mentions ceremonies that him and L. Ron Hubbard (Scientology founder) would perform.

The documentary lied. Aleister Crowley never met L Ron Hubbard. Hubbard did, however, work with Jack Parsons, who was a 'disciple' of Crowley. They performed the Babalon Working, which was a success, but soon afterwards Hubbard left Parsons, taking Jack's wife and a lot of his cash (Parsons was loaded - he's the co-founder of JPL, known today as NASA) with him. Parsons died mysteriously soon afterwards.

The results of the Babalon Working are manifested as Marjorie Cameron, Parson's Scarlet Woman. After the death of Parsons, she went on to star in several films by filmmaker Kenneth Anger.

Parsons did consider himself the Antichrist, but felt that in order to validate that, he would need to bring a prophecy from Liber AL to reality - that of the "Child of the Scarlet Woman". He failed in this, as he died before he and Cameron could have a child.

So what is the Liber AL? That is confusing me a little bit, but I understand the rest of it. Basically we might be thinking that Bree would give birth to the Anti-Christ for the Order so they can control the world. Right? Confused

Liber AL vel Legis is the proper name for the Book of the Law.

That's what you're thinking, and it would definitely go along with what Parsons was trying to do - but a Scarlet Woman (who would give birth to the Antichrist, at least in the mind of Parsons) would probably not be a 17 year old virgin. This is what Liber AL says about the Scarlet Woman, and in extension, her child:

Quote:

But let her raise herself in pride! Let her follow me in my way! Let her work the work of wickedness! Let her kill her heart! Let her be loud and adulterous! Let her be covered with jewels, and rich garments, and let her be shameless before all men! Then will I lift her to pinnacles of power: then will I breed from her a child mightier than all the kings of the earth. I will fill her with joy: with my force shall she see & strike at the worship of Nu: she shall achieve Hadit.

Now, to me, this sounds like they'd need what polite company calls "a ho" to squeeze out the Antichrist. Bree and Jules (or whoever the new girl is) don't exactly ooze wickedness.

I hope this isn't what this is about. I've known about L. Ron Hubbard and Jack Parsons for quite a while, and I've been thinking the same thing. Bree doesn't exactly fit the description of a Scarlet Woman. However, who is to say that The Order hasn't taken their cue from the Liber Al and just changed the rules to fit their agenda? Whatever that may be. . .

That's a theory I thought of a while back, too... like branch davidian-like Thelemites.

Nice Laylah, BTW. Smile

That is really creepy! I can see the Order doing that. Shocked

I dont think they are actually trying to make an anti-christ. I think that the creators just drew inspiration from this idea and twisted it to make their story. Besides, I do not actually see any kind of magical events happening in this show, in fact, the idea seems to be more along the line of doing away with these thoughts.

Some of the themes of LG15 seem to be more along the line of doing away with and fighting the system, just as the idea in the Matrix; fight the system, destroy it, all it has ever done is feed off you. And with some of the weird conspiracy theory stuff we saw involving the senator that was killed (that book of names Alex had) and not being able to trust the police seem to back this idea.

I tend to agree with this. The plot line has "religiously" stuck to the mundane (excuse the pun) and hasn't seemed to wander into the realm of the magical. But drug induced hallucinations seem to be fair game. Laughing

Good idea i think that is a great idea. I think that she is a being manipulated to summon the antichrist. I think that she must have to do it willingly so she isn't being raped. I think she is going to have intercourse with a special male. I believe he will be genetically engineered as wel.

I dont think people following anything to do with egyptian gods will like good ol' regular Jesus, why would they bother with the anti-christ?

Here's a thought though:

So far, we have noticed the watchers not attacking bree.

But some do.

Some seem to just watch.

But when Lucy's bunch is thrown in the mix, they end up taking dannyboy, killing bree's dad, and taking alex away.

Some say there is a division in the Order.

I say there is the original Order, and that company I alluded to in my first post on this thread is a fake Order.

Lucy is with the second one, and they are far more vicious than the other Order, who wants bree to do the ceremony, but not force her, for spiritual or some other reasons.

Now onto Aphid. Yea, she isnt in this anymore, but you have to admit she had an impact. And here it is: I dont fucking know. I think She is her own side in this. (err was, had, whatever). Why? Anyone's guess.

Then we have the resistance, who have undergone a rather radical makeover since Tachy and Bro hit the road.

So, I think we are down to three, if you put BDJ with the resistance, if they still exist. However, I think BDJ and Nikki B might be all alone at the moment.

So, the actual Religious Order is bad, but not as bad as the Company. Hence, confusion on weird people dressed like they are the Men in Black.

I reckon you're on to somethign there. There's at least warring factions within the order I reckon. If not two separate groups of people after Bree entirely.

I'm still confused on whether or not this is what I would personally do, or if this is actually useful.
