I thought that before but the seamless dialogue during driving cuts is what convinced me |

There is a cut between the end of the driving sequence and the climatic scene, so we don't know that they came from the same camera.
It's definitely a valid observation though that it wouldn't be normal to aim the camera at the house. I want to think it's a setup too; I hope it is but I'm not betting at this point. |

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say, that when I saw the vid for the first time, when I should have been writing a paper, my mouth was gaping for so long that i drooled a little at the end.
Thank you. |

another observation of mine: The description is "A warning to others"
Thats not aphidlike at all. Theres no code or special thing. If an aphid did it, it would definitly be in hex or something. They like to warn people, but they havent ever been so obvious about it have they? _________________ What is EMSMU?

One faint hope even if they're dead is that we'll have expressed so much grief and pointed out so many inconsistencies that this thing's creators will relent. Arthur Conan Doyle did this after he killed Sherlock Holmes...and that was just grief; I don't think there were inconsistencies. |

Also, on the footage of the back roads on the way to the trailor... anyone think it odd that everything appeared to be on fire?? Like they were driving past either a bunch of wrecks... or passing through a devestated area... _________________ The Flock is being Misled. |

Yeah, that was weird and freaky... all those wrecked cars and stuff. And their windshield appeared to have a giant crack across it. _________________ ~kittenish |

Highly doubt it. I have no idea why everyone is suddenly so sold on this idea. |
Agreed. Sure, Warpylol = Glenn. And yes, Maddison reacted to Warpy's vid. But that doesn't automatically mean Maddison = Glenn. |
Maddison may not be Glenn's creation, but Maddison Atkins (the series) featured more than a reaction to War Pylol's video (which featured original footage of Maddison's place to begin with, and was on an account controlled by Glenn). "No More" had "Warpylol" and "D in Aphid" as tags. It was definitely implied here that it was he who killed them.
So, at the very least, Glenn's a partner on this thing.

That doesn't make sense, actually. The killer would only need to isolate the audio of stuff like "10 miles left" and then place it in with the edited footage in the sequence they wanted it to appear. It's not difficult to do. It also seems to be in question as to whether those first bits of footage were actually made by Maddy and Adam.
Haether wrote: | except when they get out of the car and Maddison places the camera on top of it (I assume it's on top of the car...right height, Adam goes to the right where a trunk would be and appears with a bag)
but that part keeps bothering me. If this isn't a set-up, why aim the camera like that? If you're intending on going inside, why would you carefully set up the camera on the roof of your car?
it's like they were expecting something to happen.
hence, it *was* staged! at least I'd like to think so. |
Of course it was staged, but we can only say that for sure in the sense that this is a production. There could be any number of reasons why she set the camera there as she did. Perhaps since they were getting stuff out of the back, she didn't want to try hanging onto the camera at the same time.
While one might also ask "Why'd she set it down to where it was pointed at the trailer?" I can only ask "Why not set it down to where it's pointed at the trailer?" Better than the woods, no?
The more obvious answer to that, though, is that we needed to see what happened. It's the same reason she had the camera on at all.
Haether wrote: | ETA and why would Maddison run back around the car to get shot? I mean, if someone was shooting at me I would run far far away as fast as possible, not back around in a circle like a Benny Hill clip |
While that is a little odd, you're also thinking in terms of after the fact where it happened with someone else. There in the moment yourself, you're not going to be thinking rationally while you see your best friend shot to death and know that you're next. You're going to be filled with irrational terror.
If one needs an explanation, though, maybe he pointed the gun at her and she instinctively ducked around the car, he began to walk around it, she ran back to the other side, and then he followed her and fired as she ran.

If they're going to be so straightforward as to shoot someone and upload it to the Internet as a warning, why not go all the way?
In any case, what good would it to do to make a video pretending that OpAPHID killed them? The people in that organization are going to know if they didn't do it, so faking the whole thing would avail them nothing.
I think some of us are really grasping at straws to try to reason a way for Maddison and Adam to be alive. I don't think there's any way of reasoning it, though. Not trying to fault anyone for it, but just making the observation. |

OpAphid would brag about a successful hit. She still hasn't done so.
OpAphid has style. This hit doesn't fit her modus operandi. She has other people who carry out her tasks, but not this guy. The warpylol tag in the video has to be from someone who saw the warpylol vid. They want everyone to believe it was warpylol. |
