Kassia, take it from someone who started college at 16...and who had an equally precocious daughter... It's going to be very easy for people around you to forget about age. You're 16. It's easy to forget, with your smarts, with the fact that you're already in college, that you are the age you are. It's been easy for your folks to forget that for a long, long time. Even though they do lots to protect you in a lot of ways because ... well ... because you're their kid, and they're your parents, they can't help but look at how advanced you are academically and forget sometimes that you aren't ... older. Honest. I forgot with Jen, even when she was a little tiny bit of a thing. And strangely enough, when your dad says stuff like that...right now, in a round-about way, it's another way of him trying to protect you. No, really... <rueful grin> Just kinda awkward... Ya know?
