That would actually be the coolest thing ever, as some kind of social experiment to see how long you can keep people hanging on a thread before they FINALLY lose interest, one of those "You can't help but watch" things.

Kinda like Eon8? I hope not. The night it was set to go off Unforum actually crashed from the amount of people curious as to what the hell was going on.  |

Ok I have to give props to The Creators, because even if I'm pissed and complaining about this whole thing... I find myself worrying about Bree every night and having to remind myself that I shouldn't..... and the last thing I do before bed and the first thing I do in the morning is check this board.
Boring videos or not, yeah, props to them.
And on topic.... I think Bree is just telling herself that everything is ok. She can't freak out with all these people counting on her and saying "good girl" - her parents, Lucy, the elders.....

I do the same thing but for me it's a matter of wanting to be on the boards if something is actually happening. If this were a show with a regular airing date I don't think I'd still be here or even watching.

The initial vids were compelling enough that I was interested before the big sting opperation however the quality has since gone downhill as the writers changed style. I'm now more and more interested in spin offs (Not so much Cassie as she too dropped the ball) like OpAphid.
I think that the bulk of posting is non-canon related (which includes many posts in canon threads) and many posters are shifting towards the spinoffs. I don't take this as a sign of success (ie the 4400 and KyleXY are not better shows or more watched due to their ARGs nor can JKR sit back and think "ah this is a sign that I've done it right, everyone and their brother is re-writting my story"). This is a sign of discontent with the canon as it's been delivered.
I'm hoping that things pick up as they work towards telling us what is going on with Bree (the ceremony's impact is far from over even if it was delivered at a low point) and perhaps we will get that wondiferous ARG they promised. Perhaps Bree will deliver coded messages (not morse and anagrams PLEASE) through her vids or vids on another account in hopes of telling us what's wrong without getting caught by her religion.
Note to creators: In case you havn't caught on to this yet, responding to posters is not an ARG. Even when it comes to interactive plot (not that it's been prominate either) this happens in television all of the time so this hasn't been too wow. Please, if/when you launch your ARG look into how successful ones have been run and how the unsuccessful ones have been run. A lot of wonky ones have good post mortum writeups. |

I've been out of town for a couple of days, so I missed a lot of the discussion. Forgive me if I'm repeating what's already been said.
I personally don't think Bree seemed unusually sad, somber, drugged, etc. She's clearly tired and would be let down that such a significant event was now over. She seems to have a "December 26th" mood to me -- "Yesterday was great! But now it's done... and so I'm a little sad."
If this was all real, I'd say Bree was probably just in the let-down after a positive life experience, and that Daniel, though meaning well, was being an obsessive jerk, and a bit of a religious bigot.
Since I know it's a story, I still think something "bad" must be going on. I was surprised to see Bree back so soon after all Daniel's dark foreshadowing. |

Thank you for putting this in a logical and eloquent way. The huge obsession with the spinoffs should be worrying the creators.
If the creators are going to go ARG with this, it will greatly increase interest, especially if they do it in an oblique kind of way. I fear that their idea of an ARG will be Bree posting a video saying "oh, by the way. For those who watch this, I left a special message in the park phone booth. I <3 you all."

This is the very thing they are trying to avoid. They are looking for a way of planting clues without a drop being too obvious.
