You're right. I only read the boards for about a week or two, until i really felt I wanted to post something. I imagine there are a lot of people who have been just reading all along and never posting. Which is not to say that the creators can't also be dropping clues now and then. But I think that it would be more welcoming not to wag a suspicious finger just because someone posts for the first time. If it's one of the creators, so be it. You don't get extra points for identifying them on the boards.[/quote]
I have been reading the forum since sept 15 or close to that?? never have I commented until tonight...guess I was just excited b/c something substantial was given to us toniight...i got excited! |

this is getting pretty darn interesting |
Very interesting. Apparently my birthday is the same as Queen Hatshepsut's. I wonder what that says about me as a person.
Geez, how would we know which of these dates they would be referring to if not to 10-12-06 in our calendar? _________________ FuturePeter is my make believe boyfriend.

Is Lucy also watching Bree's vlogs? We saw from her computer that she has internet access...Perhaps Bree told Lucy that she vlogs? I am sure this has been brought up before but I can't read through everything right now.... _________________ ...watch out for Friar Tuck, he kind of JUMPS out at you. |

There's absinthe and there's absinthe. Most of the stuff around these days has almost no wormwood in it. The real stuff is illegal in the US and I think most of Europe. And, of course, in its hayday it was usually consumed with Laudanum. |

If they know that Daniel has been following Bree around, I'm sure they know about the all the videos. I wonder if Bree did tell Lucy. I still think that when we saw Bree with Lucy she never looked happy... I don't think she liked her. Something is just not right about her whole story. _________________ Me and my key...same as it ever was. |

Could this be at all relevant?
Hasn't Bree mentioned Hathor at some point as well? |
hmmm the 1 and the 2 reversed...interesting....
btw...I hope this doesnt go the Wicker Man route..although I love the original. |

ok, so in Bree's last video, she says Lucy was going to be sent some place else and she wasn't going to see her anymore. so how in the world did Daniel find Lucy in order to follow her to her apartment? |

If we follow the theory that Bree's "I Completed the Ceremony!" video was actually made before the ceremony, then it would probably require us to say that Lucy instructed her to make this video in order to throw off Daniel(and us!).
This goes with my feeling that the things Bree claims about herself since she's known Lucy(regarding the shunning of Daniel, and how she supposedly felt about the ceremony) are basically things she's repeating that Lucy has insisted are true. _________________ Knowledge is just opinion that you trust enough to act upon.

I understand the link of chartreuse to absinthe, especially with the poster, but chartreuse is an alcohol separate from absinthe.
http://www.nycgoth.com/more/chartreuse/
Not sure if this will be any help, but the article says, "Though the precise herbs in chartreuse are not publically known, there is a small quantity of thujone, the active chemical in wormwood (and consequently, absinthe.)"
(After further research)
Thujone has been injected into mice, so I see no reason why it couldn't be what has been injected into Bree.
http://www.ncl.ac.uk/medplant/about_mprc/My%20Webs/Sage/S.libanotica/chem_comp_toxicity.htm |
any idea what it did to the mice exactly? cuz i'm not reading all that stuff- i'm waay too tired. |
Unfortunately my link requires a purchase to read what it did to mice, so I've done some more researching (with a migraine, no less, but I'm just so intrigued). There is a lot of conflicting information out there about the effects of wormwood and thujone. Some attribute wormwood to the psychosis experienced by absinthe drinkers, others blame the use of copper pots and poor ingredients for the madness experienced by those who drank it.
One interesting thing I found links thujone to marijuana. This one, http://sulcus.berkeley.edu/mcb/165_001/papers/manuscripts/_877.html , states, "...the feeling after drinking it was completely different. Not that heavy-head, room-swirling feeling one have after too mach (sic) alcohol, but light, airy feeling, and some kind of altered state of mind, that was hard to explain."
I had bad reactions to marijuana and I know most people don't. What I've heard from others is that it provides a heavy, almost euphoric feeling. However, based on the description from the website above, the sensation from absinthe provides the altered, euphoric mindstate without the heaviness that makes it easy to spot someone who's stoned. |
I can read the article (somehow, not sure why I don't have to pay for it, maybe because I've logged in to scientific research sites before with my uni username and passowrd...) and it says
Quote: | Dose-related pharmacotoxic symptoms were noted in mice upon injection of each of the four oil extracts. Prior to death, animals revealed an impaired coordination of movement and epileptogenic symptoms such as muscle contractions and convulsions, which were followed by a decrease in motor activity. Postmortem examination revealed highly vascularized skin and peritoneum layers, dark blood clots on the heart, and intestinal inflammation. A survey of the literature conducted by Burkhard et al. (1999) had shown essential oils of 11 plants to be powerful convulsants (eucalyptus, fennel, hyssop, pennyroyal, rosemary, sage, savin, tansy, thuja, turpentine and wormwood) due to their content of terpenic ketones (camphor and thujone). |
Nothing particularly interesting!
