k, i figued it out I think. Apo mentioned that part on the periodic table andI knew he had something going on there. so I did some thinking. count the number of letters in the words that seem copletely irrevevant. Quantum electrodynamics, Superconductivity and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I counted the on the note and the number I got was 74. the atomic number of Tungsten is 74. then to confirm my thoughts I counted the numbe of words in the 4th paragraph, both sentences have 6 words in them. the Group number of Tungsten is 6 and so is the period number. He left 2 clues to stop us from confusing Tungtsen with Polonium which is in Group VI. ( I hope you guys paid attention in science class!). So thats my answer, hope im right! |

the only normal biological function I found tugsten in is oxidoreductase

I think there's some significance to "Ms. Poppins" as opposed to Mary Poppins.
Like the letters M S or at least the M are relevant.

| Nobody said that the chemical had anything to do with Bree. it could be a hint at a place name? eg. Oxygen country, Tungsten University, etc |

| This could be irrelevant, but it jumped out at me. There's a paragraph break between "months" and "for now." The first part is fairly straightforward, while the second half is definitely cryptic. Maybe the message is only in the second half? Or that could be too easy... |

This is probably way off, but quantum electrodynamics and superconductivity both deal in some way with magnetism. Plus, Bree's dad tells her to "be strong." Magnetism... strength... the first thing that comes to my mind is iron.
Does epogen have something to do with iron? Or anemia or something like that? Hmm... I need to go back and do some reading.

Along the same lines, although it is a bit of a stretch, the first word in each line seems to sound like an element's name.

Kinda, anyway. I doubt it's worth anything, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Epogen can be used for anemia, and iron is a commonly used supplement for anemics, I believe. Also, if you take Epogen, you need to warn your doctor if you take iron supplements because it can increase your risk of side effects. (I just scoured Epogen pages.)

Iron has everything to do with blood. On a whim I typed in Epogen.com, and what does it tell me? "Treatment of anemia in patients which chronic renal failure" etc. Anemia is a deficiency of red blood cells. Red blood cells carry hemoglobin, and the iron in hemoglobin is responsible for carrying oxygen.

Lots and lots of carbon. We intake oxygen, expel nitrogen, have a fair amount of iron. Um, hydrogen and oxygen as water, like you said. Everything else is a random assortment of junk that we need, from what I remember from AP Bio class. Two years ago. |
