I'm another lurker still interested but never much participated. I used to check in all the time...now about once a day. Sad

I check the boards most days to see if there's been any actual progress, but I blow at anagrams, so I'm not interested in fiddling with them. So I've basically lost interest.

"What ever happened to that girl, Cassie?"

WHO CARES!!

It was great fun, too bad it died, but it was a crazy good time those two weeks.

But now that Daniel and Bree are heating up again, that's cool too.

Team Cassie really took control of the story for a little while. It was way more interesting and engaging than anything I've seen, it rocked...

THEN IT DIED Mad

Just hope that "The Creators" learned how "into" a game people from all over the world can be and just how incredible a group of people can be at finding some glimpse of landscape or breaking a coded message and working together. That was awesome.

While it lasted......

Souixgrl20 makes a logical point on Cassie's YT comments:

"Right now there is

1) an unsolved clue at Frank's blog,

2) a long unsolved poem from Cassie delivered on 10-12-06, and

3) a real-life clown painting found in San Gabriel that has barely been analyzed.

And you want MORE clues?

Veteran ARGers say that some puzzles in ARGs go unsolved for a year or more.

Don't expect constant instant gratification from an ARG. You get out what you put in."

...though I agree with most of you that the Devine Miss C needs to throw us a few bones with regard to said clues. She's gotta realize that she's dealing with a large varied audience rather than a handful hardcore ARG'ers with a lot of time on their hands. Unfortunately, this is an instant gratification society.
1. what clue is that? his death knell? I think most people have decided that was just Frank announcing his demise.
2. Yeah good luck with that. Let us know how it turns out.
3. Actually, it's been torn to pieces, literally. It told us that "frank has a blog I [cassie] have a second life". Directed us to second life. Woohoo.

Yeah I'm with you. Though thanks to my completist tendencies I will probably still check occasionally to see if anyone ever finishes that last frickin anagram.

Well I've only just started looking into the whole Cassie thing myself, and while it looked interesting, the absurdity of it is just unavoidable. Clues are cool, yeah, but they mean nothing to me if I can't put them in context. I know nothing of Cassie, or what her significance is. What I'd like more than a hint is motivation, I want a reason to put the effort into the puzzle before I bother starting. Right now, after all the hoops that have been leapt through, all we've got is some cryptic wannabe poet that's obsessed with decades-old murders and small-scale doomsday prophecies that really have nothing to do with anything-- big frikkin' deal. When she starts to reveal something human about herself, or at least starts conjuring up some semblance of a cohesive plot, gimme a call.

I'm still in, but I've been working on the last anagram since it was handed to us and have gotten absolutely nowhere (which is sad, because I'm usually okay with anagrams). I must say, I was a little dissapointed in CiW's timing running up to 10/12/06, and the SL thing definitely turned me off (I hope the people whose computers it screwed up are back with us now). But if the clues keep coming, I'll keep trying to solve them. Although I concur with what's been said above: some more context would be nice.

Nota bene: I've been thinking for awhile now that CiW's faulty timing might actually be our fault, a little bit. We were solving the clues at a fairly solid rate, and I think CiW set up their timeline according to that speed. Then, when we missed the first SL clue in the WHERE poem, they had to go back and figure out a new way to get us to SL. Unfortunately, it took them a long time, and I don't think they really knew what to do once they got us there. Not to mention that we came in hordes the like of which SL has never seen. Almost like the Mongols, if the Mongols were naked and riding dancing cows into battle...

i mean, it's gotten lame, but i have to give cassie credit for changing the way i think... someone wrote me a note and said there were 5 parts to it, but i had only noticed four. i was all ready to bust out my CIW tricks and tools with anagramming, missing letters, hidden messages... then i realized it was just written really small at the bottom of the page. damn.

C- whiz can kiss my ass. i can't even look at her name anymore. at first i found the whole ARG thing interesting, but thanks to c-whiz, i will never get into any other ARG cuz i'll fear this kind of letdown (well maybe she did me a favor considering all of the time i've wasted doing thisand not homework)

that being said, i'll pop right back into ARG mode if she sees fit to drop an amazing bombshell revalation on us. but it really has been a redic about of time since we got anything compared to how she worked every other clue, and the lines that have been tentatively achieved on the anagram don't seem to be going anywhere interesting anyway. and for all that work, how much help were ANY of the other poems yet anyway?

screw anagrams and c-whiz for now, is basically what i'm saying. i'll check back here probly like every other day. and i am SO getting rid of SL- what a bust.

i liked the vidz and appreciate that other people solved puzzlez so i didnt have to!

no one even botherz anymore here.

i still luv Bree's vidz and i am excited about the new forum sections. i want entertaining more than a game, but i hope those dont implode the same way. Rolling Eyes

i feel like i've gotten more info about Cassie from OPAphid's Cassie bashing vidz than i have from Cassie's own videoz.

maybe that will give her story a good end?

I'm still interested.
I won't post in the forum.
I'll share whatever I find (clues, drops, hints, screenshots, pieces of nonsense) with whoever asks me to, as I've always done.
My SL account is Juliet Chambers
