Is he taking advantage of her? Before I thought he wasn't, I thought he was just trying to help. Now I have no doubt that he is.
Could someone please tell me how this is any different from a guy taking advantage of a cute drunk girl at a party, who just so happens to be nearly unconscious on a couch? Coming from someone who has been at parties where girls have been raped (even friends of mine) and then seen what happens the next day, THIS IS NOT OKAY AT ALL AND IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN LIGHTLY.
Granted they are just making out, but you know what that can lead to. If this story arc goes in that direction, I'll be pretty miffed. As it stands now, not all is lost. Jonas can still make a vid explaining that what he was doing was wrong and the moment he realized that, he backed off.
Even so, I'm sure as soon as Bree recovers she's going to be pretty pissed at Jonas. |
I know I'll look like a total hypocrite because of my av, but I want people to know the only reason I have it is because I find it cute. Okay, yeah, sorry... I'm 18 and view it to be slightly adorable...
Anyway, I do think Jonas should have stopped it, no matter how he feels about her. Bree did kiss him first, although he didn't make it shy with his constant stroking of her hair that he wanted it to. I'm really disappointed that he did not realize what a huge mistake he made.
Yeah... I'm a total hypocrite with my av. I can't get past it.

my vote still goes to this has been happening behind peoples backs... bree and jonas definitely had somthing going before and she is the one that initiated tonites snog session... and in "bedside manner"... she came to him...

We don't know Bree kissed him first. She kissed him in the video, but who knows how long they'd already been kissing before Sarah got hold of a camera and started filming? If she was sneaking up there, she probably already saw what they were doing and thought it would be a good thing to document.
Which also explains why Bree knows what she's doing. They were probably making out for at least a few minutes previous to what we saw, which is enough time to figure out the basics of making out.
ETA: I don't believe they had anything officially going on before this. It's obvious Jonas was into her, but if something was actually going on I think at least Sarah would have blurted something out about it, the same way Jonas made fun of Daniel.

Chillax. I agree that it is wrong, but i wouldn't say it is what you are suggesting. Its just some harmless kissing. I agree that this "issue" is very serious in other situations because I too have a friend that has been raped I also do not take things like this lightly. But I believe there is a line, and so far Jonas hasn't crossed it yet.
We may not know the whole story here at all. I think that they've been dating in some form for a lot longer then this. It definitely doesn't look to me like its the first time they've been making out. Jonas could be kissing her to trigger her memory of their relationship. - just a thought! |

this is jonas trying to act like things were before... that way she can come back to her old self

This is true. And I probably overreacted, but mostly just because so many people don't see anything wrong with what is going on. What Jonas is thinking of doing just makes my skin crawl. And he hasn't crossed the line, but he very well could. And in my mind he already has crossed a line if they were NOT dating (I don't think they were because someone probably would have made at least a joke about it), in which case Bree, wherever she is hidden in her mind, might feel taken advantage of and betrayed. |

Also agreed. I think he really does love her. Remember how he freaked he was when Daniel mentioned something about her getting married off by the order? He really wants to protect her. He's not just a horny guy looking for an easy squeeze. I thought he was gentle with her actually. It was a "passionate" kiss, not a steamy "I want to get in your pants kiss" |
