Perhaps someone better versed in the laws of California can weigh in, but most places have a "If the underage party is no more than 2/3/whatever years younger than the age of majority party, it's fine" clause.
Besides, I highly doubt they would have stopped to think about that.

I expected more from cali than making 2yrs a sex offender, shit its 3 yrs to the birthdate for the Commonwealth of Virginia!! well within 3 yrs is a misdermeanor, not able to go on the list
as usual Lurker, I dont believe it matters about legality when it comes to sex, even on a "tv" show like this, its about keeping whatever story moving...

Breaking and Entering, Kidnapping, Drunk in Public, Possession of alcohol by a minor, contributing to the delinquecy of a minor, Child Neglect (dans parents) Drunk in Public more than once... I still dont think they did the dirty but still, legality is negated for all intensive purposes!

yeah i know its incredibly stupid and fucks up some peoples lives!i knew a girl who was 18 and slept with her 17 year old boyfriend and after a nasty fight she is now a sex offender.....horrrrrrrible stuff...
but yeah maybe in the breeniverse the cali law is different |

Meh it's not like they couldn't take a trip up to Canada, age of consent is anywhere from 14 to 16 around our parts. |

So, I wonder if, on the off chance Bree ends up pregnant, what she'll name her child, because Bree Jr. or Jonas Jr. doesn't have a nice ring to it. |

idiocy isnt near a word to describe it... too bad this isnt a political forum... i just hate retarded laws, and that is sickening to me... im 23, so its different now, but i woulda been a sex offender at 18 if this was the case here, 16 & 18... its just "OUT THERE" to me... and lost of all thought process in reality! |

Well dang it, I'd be screwed if I lived in Cali...at one point in my marriage, I was 18 and my hubby was 17. Dang me and my sex offender ways. Although...marriage might negate that law. |

There is no way to know what state the cabin is located in, so the discussion about the legality Bree/Jonas sleeping together is moot.
However, I don't think they did sleep together. Just my opinion. I don't see Bree doing that as a means of securing Jonas' trust.
Kissing him, yes. Sleeping with him, no.
Just my opinion.
