my personal view is that the rubbish bin should be reserved for threads with no lasting value whatsoever.
its all well and good to point out that the world isn't going to end over this topic, but it seems worthwhile for LL to raise.
BK and the Mod squad more than earn their pay, of course.
i've seen a few threads locked that i disagreed with, and at least one or two that i breathed a sigh of relief to see locked. mostly i enjoy seeing Taig get slapped around and slapping back.

This was a post defending the mods, but since the whole 'defend hyemew at all costs, and viciously attack anyone who complains about him' behavior of BK, both he and hyemew are now excluded from the glowing report I had here previously...necessitating my need to edit the post.
The rest of the mods are great. They do a thankless job very well.
Kudos to you guys (and girls).

They aren't contadictory statements.
A lot of mods do it, and sure they don't out weigh the instances where they don't do it, however there is at least one moderator in particular that does not follow protocol.
And to give examples, a lot of the situations that i have had threads of mine moved, there was no PM, no statement in the thread and no warning. It was just moved.
I have also seen it happen to the few friends I have seen it.
While yes, the majority of the moderators do in fact follow this rule, not all of them do.
eta: i was not trying to insult or bitch, I was just pointing out the fact that yes while this does happen 90% of the time, there is still the remaining 10% where that doesn't happen, and it does get frustrating. I do agree that the mods do an excellent job and I would give them a standing O (both ovation and...the other o) if I could demonstrate it so everyone would understand how greatful I am of all of you!

As a former mod, and someone who hasn't been around in awhile, it's nice to see that nothing really changes  Being a mod on here is tough. We're just normal forumites who are charged with keeping things in some type of order. Sometimes We've gotta make a judgment call. I think that call has been right, historically (can't comment on more recent issues), more often than not. Like BK said, we're only human.

I will never, ever, ever agree that the mods' actions are always..or even mostly "right" or "fair". It's just not in my nature, and that's why you love me. I'm also not going to get pissed off or heated about it either because no matter what any of our opinions are, there's not a whole lot that will change. And really, at the end of the day, who cares that much?

Amen. We know you aren't a fan of HyeMew. And me now, apparently. That's life. People don't always get along. But let's keep our feuds out of public discussion and just enjoy our time in the forum! There's a ton of active threads, plenty to discuss, and a lot of people to discuss it with! Have fun!
