Maybe if we can puzzle out why Jonas is chopping wood, that might lend some insight into the crazy "emo-mail" and any potential hidden messages. I have a few ideas:
1. He is trying to attract the attention of someone (like Alex or Bree) from a great distance -- possibly from the air.
2. Either the light or the heat from the fire will help or hinder the order in some way (it could somehow stop the ceremony by blocking a celestial view or perhaps the heat is needed for the ceremony and Jonas is helping because Bree put him into some sort of trance with her hypnotic lovin').
Anyone else have a clue? _________________ Rosencrantz: Another curious scientific phenomenon is the fact that the fingernails grow after death, as does the beard.
Guildenstern: What?
Rosencrantz: Beard. . . The toenails, on the other hand, never grow at all. |

Or he's really pissed and needs something physical to work out his anger.... such as cutting logs in half... _________________ So Jonas tell all. Does Bree really kiss like a fish? (fooseball episode) |

ok totally OT but i have to get it off my chest:
there's this one episode of the TERRIBLE Adult Swim show Squidbillies where the main character gets turned down for sex a lot by his wife and every time he does, he runs out to the outhouse and yells "I'M GONNA GO CHOP SOME WOOD!"(get it? get it?) in his stupid angry squid voice. i just happened to see that episode several times even though i don't really like the show (obviously), but every time i hear mention of jonas outside chopping wood all day it kind of makes me giggle inside.
edit: as fate would have it, it's up on adultswim.com this week:
http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a25c392132b05a201132c18b57700b8
the show's like 11 minutes long, but if you're like me and you get sick of it after about two minutes, the second half has all the wood-chopping references that amuse me so. you can just click on part two on the bottom of the screen. if you need something to do.
k sorry, the end.
just to be slightly pertinent, when i heard jonas was out chopping wood i was highly unsettled for some reason. i don't like the idea of jonas doing anything with fire right now in the mental state he seems to be in.
