So, either Daniel actually is out with friends (possibly looking for info on Bree's religion) or perhaps the secret-keepers of Bree's religion have gotten to him somehow?
Does it seem odd to anyone else that Bree seems so worried? Before the ceremony, she was mostly just mad at Daniel. Maybe she has learned new information about her religion (and its members) since then.

Her lil map is driving me crazy.

I know it has been said that she points to Texas, but why in the world does she have that map out in the first place?

Here she is making a video to Daniel, after having not found him by phone, & she just happens to be perusing a map???

Hmmm, Bree must have planned to discuss the map with Daniel.

But WHERE has she been & WHAT does she know at this point???

Ok here go my insights:

Well.. To me Daniel going away is no big surprise.. Too many difficult questions to answer if someone comes knocking on his door.

And there is something else, his reason to do what he did was that he was worried about Bree... Well, It is obvious now that there was no reason to worry about Bree, just as she said. He just did not want to listen, he was so obsessed with "protecting" Bree that his mission became more important to him that Bree's right to privacy or the danger involved in breaking into Lucy's place.

Perhaps he was expecting Bree to finally find out how bad she needs him.. Right? Because she can't live without him.. Can she? Or it's just wishfull thinking?.. Gee! I can see myself 10 years ago reflected on those thoughts!

Anybody would expect Bree to phone in and ask the kind of questions that Daniel would not want to have to answer after she watched his video.. So the easiest thing is to run away for some days and hope everything would be forgotten by the time he's back. Without telling her anything he still could pretend to be in danger and bring attention to himself.

Also he would hopefully make Bree worry about him.. Maybe even feel guilty. Who knows, He may even play victim after all.

I think that's what any insecure and over-reacting teenager would think at least for the first days.. Remember Daniel back at home on his last video saying "What do they want from me?"

Time thou will inevitably bring common sense back to his mind and finally he would have to surrender to the obvious truth: You are not James Bond and there is no evil gang of assassins behind you, there is no princess who needs to be saved from death and the world would not stop turning if you decided to quit.

I think Bree will never buy on something like this. Girls are way sharper and skillfull dealing with feelings and that's how they can foresee the next step a guy is about to take even before he knows it himself.

She seems worried about Daniels feelings and what he could do about them, not about Daniel. To me she knows Daniel is deceived and hurt and she fears Daniel could take an immature attitude and blame her for what he feels. Bree does not wants to lose Daniel's friendship neither wants to be unfairly blamed for doing something she believes in devotedly.

She does not wants to feel bad either.. And by now she is patiently and silently suffering Daniel's cruelty vanishing and leaving her alone to deal with not-knowing.

So she knows it is a matter of time until she finds out about Daniel.. But she does not like this situation. She tries to deal with this in her playfull way, kind of letting herself flow, as she did for instance when she wanted to find out what kind of kiss did Daniel gave her exactly and its meaning.. Like she needed help!

So she opens her map and pretends to be Daniel wandering all over the United States.. But it is no fun anymore, not even PM can help.. She knows it will never be the same anymore: Back when they were just friends everything was a lot easy and simple, it was fun to observe Daniel's reactions when she picked on him and was nice to know he was around for she knew nothing was expected from her and she was free to be herself.. Daniel was a true friend.

Now.. There is more involved.. Choices have to be made and they may not be the ones you'd like and may not be understood by others.. One has to be careful with the interpretation and the effects everything may have.. And feelings are unclear and unspecific so you never now what you are actually dealing with.

It is so beautifull being innocent.. We all miss it.. Don't we?

Yeah. Damn hormones, kill all the cute, lovey, friendship-type things. It's so sad what happened to Daniel and Bree's relationship. However, it makes a very good story. Thank you Creators.
