She is studying in a London University, in the UK education system, a first is the best mark you can get, followed by a 2:1, then a 2:2, and finally a third. So actually she is saying she is doing very well, not very badly. It also indicates she is around 19 or 20 years old so she is a little older than Bree. You cannot go to University until you are 18 and you study for 3 years (usually). |

Maybe Bree just didn't consider her a friend because of the age gap.
She hung out with her, maybe she was a babysitter, neighbor etc.
Sounds like she spent a lot of time at Gemma's house though, playing with the dog. |

You're probably right, although Gemma is only one year older than Daniel and Cassie and she considered them friends!

| Depends, though, on how old she was when she befriended the dog. If she was 9 or something, that age gap seems much bigger than it is in high school, if that makes sense. |

I thought Bree was 16, and Gemma was 19?
Edit: So, if Bree was about 10, and Gemma 13, she would have looked up to her, and may not have considered her as a friend as such.

I know at the age of 13 kids over here would rather die than be friends with a 10 year old, although a 10 year old would be so happy to be mates with a teenager..
But then again if they've only ever been homeschooled and separated from their peers then this wouldn't matter.

Doesn't make it official -- there's nothing which says Jess's friends aren't fans who might make a fan video. A lot of people believe that cassieiswatching was created by friends of Jess or Daniel.
Moving to fan videos provisionally -- again, if we see direct interaction in a Bree video, we'll return Gemma to the land of canon characters.
