*face palm* I'm stupid. My new washing machine makes this high pitched beep when it's done with a load. It went off around a half hour or so ago and I thought it was the fire detector.
So I evacuated my house, screaming and flailing my arms.
I turned around a few minutes after leaving when I saw no smoke rising, walked back, and found the clothes in the washer were dry.
*face palm* I'm sooooooo SMRT it's not even funny.
