I'm just catching up here and there...Henry, thank you for the history piece... I'm very bad at putting things together, it seems, but that really made some of what's being asked here just...well...just kind of make my skin crawl... _________________ Diane, or cher, or even chershaytoute, but "Hey, you!" works, too...

It is an alphabet table look at this
http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/pigpen.htm
Enter pigpen pattern #3 in the encoding pattern.
You'll notice it goes from a to z with a few exceptions the double dotted block and the repeated end. _________________ "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

O i think i may know what the dot and cresent are.
I was researching the Hymn of One symbol and found this. http://www.earthsky.org/skywatching/moon-venus-pairing-steals-mercurys-thunder
This is venus and a waining moon.
Maybe his symbol is the one for a waxing moon paired with venus. _________________ "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

That's cool, but I think it's a coincidence. The meaning of those symbols is tied to the Marlett tag, which I explained in the previous page of this thread. It just means that both letters i and j are coded with the same symbol. The pigpen alphabet was used to decode the puzzle on Sean's blog (check this thread). |
