Okay. Remember how long it took for the Ice Breakers Sours thing to come around? It was like 2 months from when they first considered doing it until Bree ate the last of the pack.
So I'm thinking that the C's penned a deal with Neutrogena some time ago, and now it's actually going down. Part of the deal was probably a certain amount of exposure for Neutrogena. So they probably wrote the company into the story line up to a certain point. Now we've all been very vocal about wanting the Ceremony storyline to finish up.
So my guess is that the C's probably have to keep things going for a certain amount of time to make good on their deal with Neutrogena, and when that deal ties up, the Ceremony story arc probably will too.
At least I hope so. _________________ Yeah, you got... stuck a fish in the face. |

But if Bree is saved from having to do the ceremony by a Neutrogena Scientist who develops the magic serum for making her trait negative on his off hours in a Neutrogena lab then I doubt we will ever see the ceremony.
However, the stage will be set to track down every trait positive girl on the planet who may be a candidate for the ceremony, kidnap them, tie them up and submit them to injections until they are trait negative - whether they want it or not. _________________ You made a wise choice, Bree.

The Motley Fool had a good article about the neutrogena deal, and the author (who has followed lg15 for a looonng time) made this comment on the plot effect:
"But jaded watchers will be watching the introduction of Gilman with a grain of salt. Neutrogena wouldn't be financially backing a new character if he winds up turning on the heroic protagonists. He'll be smart. No animals will be hurt in his lab. You know he's going to have great skin. His eventual exit will surely be as a serum-stirring savior or a glorified martyr who moved the series along to the next sponsored opportunity." _________________ “Can't repeat the past?
