It wasn't ideal, but it happened.

They don't let too many interviews like this happen at Skyview. Everyone was rude and cold. It was kind of funny being so powerless.

Still not loading. Give it time. I can only imagine what the people there were probably like.

edit - Clara...give us a little time. This is the first time we've seen this guy on camera. And the first time we've heard him talk. And you know what the worst part is? He doesn't even know them. This doesn't give us much, on the surface. We'll have to think hard about it.

For a week before the murder, he blacked out...

We'll be thinking.

Joel Frady mentions (I think) that he misses Bev and he misses his daughter. It was not clear to me whether Bev was his daughter's name or perhaps he was saying he misses both his wife Bev and his daughter, so that is a detail to clarify (clara-fy, lol).

OOG: I think it is the probably same guy and the same actor - he just looks different with longer hair and without the glasses.

At some point Clara and the police assumed that not only was this man the killer but Mr. Zipp as well.
Questions:

Is this man capable of the complex thought that went into Zipp's puzzles, and the eloquence of his letter?

Did these episodes happen before?

If these episodes were happening before, how did he get to the drop cities? Would you give a license to a man who blacked out? Where are his airline tickets?

He said he lost a week. This happened over more that one week where are the rest of the memories?

Are there any prexsisting connections between Maddison and Frady, for him to know Maddison enough to set up her passwords?

I just keep getting more questions.

On the one hand, I can see why people are saying it's not him. On the other, if you were to cut his hair and give him glasses...

I don't know. He looks more similar than dissimilar to me, so I'm going to have to go with it being the same guy for now.

Ultimately that's not the point of my post. The point of my post is this: That was perhaps the most chilling thing I've ever seen. If it is the guy, good god is he good at pretending he doesn't remember. It's chilling the way he said it and what he said.

If this ISN'T the guy, somebody would still have to come up with what they wanted their convenient little patsy to say. Either way, it's damn chilling, and it served as a good kick in the ass to remind me of the stakes being played for.

I don't really like you, Clara. I'm not going to beat around the bush about that. But I've made that pretty clear, and it's time for me to stop being a nine year old and deal with it. If you need something from me, ask and I'll do my best to make sure it happens.

Clara,

Clearly Joel Frady has been affected by Maddison's death too. It might be worth looking into what he was like before the deaths? Maybe talk to his wife? Employers? This man seems so shattered. Did the killings and arrest do this to him or has he always been so fragile?

Might be an interesting angle for your thesis?

I think this man could pass for the killer.

I don't think this is Mr Zipp at all.

The way Joel talks about missing his daughter speaks to me as someone who is close to his daughter. Mr Zipp has severe restrictions placed on his interaction with his child.
And as Giddeanx pointed out Mr zipp was active for more than a week, and Frady blacked out for a week . I know he could be lying and playing everyone...
But I definitely don't think this is Zipp.

It's unfortunate he cannot be questioned...

I really dont know what else to say.

I had alot of expectations, but this wasn't anything like I expected. I wanted to hate him, with all my heart.
I only find pity for him, I think he was setup.

The questions I cant find answers to are how, Why, and by whom?

I would be interested to read some kind of evidence as to why he's "crazy" ...I mean was he determined to be unfit to stand trial? Has he been convicted or is he in a psychiatric treatment facility? I think if we know more about his state of mind we could possibly draw important conclusions. Some disorders of the brain cause both blackouts and erratic behavior, which could be the case...or it could be someone using such a disorder to frame him. I believe that he genuinely believes he doesn't know what happens, but we need some more evience clara! Find us some documentation!

Speculation: multiple personality disorder / schizophrenia?

I think a key question is whether Mr. Zipp and Joel Frady are the same person physically, and then if they are, whether they are the same mind/personality within that person.

Right now, it almost seems like three people or personalities:
Mr. Zipp
the killer
Joel Frady

I wonder if Maddison's father could shed some light on how Mr. Zipp was able to provide a password that Maddison would immediately guess, and whether Mr. Zipp and Joel Frady are the same person?
