Clara's starting to get into some dodgy territory-
My advice? if you see a Pidgeon, take it's message, but don't read it- leave it in a place where one of us could pick it up- that way we're all in this together. |

Maddison had some interesting books - somewhat feminist and religious (e.g. Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible)
One book, Dead Ringer by Lisa Scottoline, is about a mystery involving an evil twin of the protagonist. From Amazon.com description, "After attorney Benedetta Rosato loses her wallet, she receives bills for identical dresses she didn't buy and is arrested for a robbery she didn't commit. Bennie's evil twin, Alice, an ex-con and sociopath, is back in town and wreaking havoc."
So, will one of our characters turn out to have an evil twin? |

Q, what are you talking about? Why would any of her books indicate anything about her life?
I have "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" on my DVD right now. Does that mean I smell or something?

Maddison was into cooking - there was a video where she offered to cook for Adam and his then girlfriend.
In this video, I thought it might be worth looking inside the big cookie tin and perhaps the large Oats - dunno why they would be shown otherwise... maybe these food items will relate to something we see later on?

In chat tonight, we talked about making a list of her books, just to see if we learn anything. |

Maybe there is a clue in this stuff as to either Maddison's password or a health issue.
When the first pigeon appears, Adam asks Maddison whether she has any bread or crackers, but she does not answer him. Maybe she has a wheat allergy? Later on, she is feeding the pigeon (I forget what).
Perhaps the main thing to focus on in this video is to return to the drop materials and figure out what we have not figured out already? Well, at least we know Clara has them if we need to ask her to examine something later. And Maddison's journal may give us some new clues. |

- Speech Can Change Your Life by Dorothy Sarnoff
- A dictionary
- The Singing Stones by Phyllis A. Whitney
- A thin white book (not sure)
- Goddesses in Everywoman by Jean Shinoda Bolen
- A thin blue book
- From Pocahontas to Power Suits by Kay Mills
- A thin red book
- The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver (thanks Q, I couldn't read the title)
- Earth Power by Scott Cunningham
- Midwives by Chris Bohjalian
- A silver book
- A thin cream book
- Sharing the Course by Nancy H. Glende (not sure)

and about 15 more which I'm too tired to identify and link, but I see: a short history of the far east, refuse to stand silently by, why christians can't trust psychology, choke, dead ringer, valley of the dolls, and hollywood. can someone else finish the list?

Starting with deagol's list of books...because not only am I up for some unknown reason, I have no idea why I can't sleep and need something mind-numbing to do...and this looks like a good choice (besides, I might's well be useful! <beaming grin>
Books, right to left:
- A white book, laying on its side behind water bottle
- A plain red book (hard cover)
- The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
- Speech Can Change Your Life by Dorothy Sarnoff
- A dictionary
- The Singing Stones by Phyllis A. Whitney
- A thin white book (not sure)
- Goddesses in Everywoman by Jean Shinoda Bolen
- A thin blue book
- From Pocahontas to Power Suits by Kay Mills
- A thin red book
- The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver (thanks Q, I couldn't read the title)
- Earth Power by Scott Cunningham
- Midwives by Chris Bohjalian (only one mentioned by Clara)
- A hard cover book with a black spine and white/cream cover
- A silver book
- A thin cream book
- Sharing the Course by Nancy H. Glende (not sure)
- Yeast Connection Handbook by William G. Crook
- A Short History of the Far East by Kenneth Scott Latourette
- Refuse To Stand Silently By by Eliot Wigginton
- Why Christians Can't Trust Psychology by Ed Bulkley
- Choke by Chuck Palahniuk
- A trade paperback (?), white with red stars on spine
SHADOWED GAP IN BETWEEN COULD CONTAIN ANOTHER BOOK OR...SOMETHING ELSE
- Dead Ringer by Lisa Scottoline
- A trade paperback (?), white with green pattern at bottom
- A slightly taller book - spine is pale golden yellow green, front cover appears to have a pattern that contains, among other colors, crimson, turquoise
- A plain white book, possibly trade paperback
- A thin book, white at top, red at bottom
- A thick black hard cover book, writing on spine is horizontal
- A slightly shorter, not as thick black book, probably hard cover, white vertical lettering on spine
- Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann
- A thin white book with black lettering on spine
- A taller white book with what appears to be a cardinal (bird) on upper right corner of front cover
- A thin black book
- A white book with black lettering at top of spine and greenish lettering at bottom
- A book with a spine in alternating colors of pale orange and red-orange
- A thin white book
Well, that was certainly less successful than I'd hoped, darn it all! _________________ Diane, or cher, or even chershaytoute, but "Hey, you!" works, too...
