Is this just me but does anyone else have a hard time understanding what Gemma is saying? I normally have no problem with British accents but her's I just do not get. _________________ That was the weirdest display of geekdom that I have ever seen in my entire life. |

It's o.k. unless she mumbles. I don't think it's supposed to be a Brit accent, I think she's supposed to be from NZ and living in the UK. |

it sounds like someone from nz trying to put on an english accent, when the only english accent she has heard is kate winslet when she is being posh. |

I wrote Gemma on her youtube account right after her first vlog came out. I specifically asked her about her accent and this is what she had to say...

I supposed you noticed that Bree has a huge following. We all really like her vlogs. Anyway, I hope you post some more vlogs. We all want to hear more about your past with Bree. Do you have any photos of her as a child? Are you a Kiwi or an Aussie? I can't quite pin point your accent.

Heehee. I loved when she said that.
And whatever her accent is, it's beautiful. It does seem to be some sort of conglomeration of NZ and UK. _________________ Vice President of the Owen Fan Club

I particularly liked her repetition of "petrol" in the latest video, myself. _________________ "I think they go their separate and slightly divergent roads to perdition."

Gemma's accent is the direct personification of what a horse would sound like if they could speak. _________________ Check out: Funniest LG15-related episode... ever?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ6kBdNegfs |

No really though, it almost sounds fake. It reminds me of people I know (Americans) trying to sound Brittish. |
