I think your analysis is a good one, but it's because you have brains. What makes your analysis wrong is that you're presuming that the Creators have minds that can think this way.
They don't. They're stupid. All they do is read the forum and fabricate a video based on what the majority of the people ask for. People ask for Gemma, they make a Gemma video. People ask for another STUPID "proving science wrong", they make another "proving science wrong". People get scared that bree will be killed by a cult, so they make up stupid ridiculous reasons for her to get out of it.
First she's going through elaborate preparations for a secret, important ceremony that's such an "honor" and she realizes what an "honor" it is, and she learns "Enochian" and has a helper live with her practically, and she gets shots and takes pills, for months. Then, within a week or so, the ceremony turns out to be fake, and even though her cult is so sick in the head they take pictures of Daniel and even stage a fake ceremony to catch him, all she does is have one talk with Daniel and one talk with her parents, and "everything's OK now." PLEASE, what nonsense. Then it's back to make the gemma video and stupid proving science wrong video.
Basically the direction of this stupid series is going to be the same as I just described. Guaranteed that you'll get the little "owen" contingent in this board to post things like "YOu GOTTA make another owen video...make another Grillz vid!!!....you need more owen!!!...where's Thor and P monkey???....You should do something with Owen and P Monkey and Thor!!!" and all that kind of stupid crap, and guess what you'll see within a day or two??? A rehash of one of her old videos where she used owen and P monkey and Thor.
Basically, they'll just keep doing what people in the forums tell them to do, which is mostly going to be rehashing old garbage that has no direction or meaning and making new Gemma videos for the pervs who beg for them.
But the idea that they're getting at something "deep" with the reference to "you should know where you are so you know where you're going so you don't bump into something unexpected" is ridiculous. It ends with that video. You'll never see any "deeper" meaning to that than that maybe she was alluding to "bumping into" Daniel, which she said explicity anyway.
Lack of imagination and creativity, this has gone from being new and different and interesting and exciting to being a boring rehash of what the forum writers direct it to be.

Much to my dismay, I suspect that you are correct in your analysis.
I was disappointed when the Creators disavowed CiW but then began to take LG to a darker territory - I eagerly followed both storylines.
Now CiW has stalled and LG has gone back to being a Saturday morning cartoon.
Seems the Creators couldn't figure out a way to consumate the Cult/Ceremony storyline so let's all pretend it never happened. This is like the "Dallas" season the was all a dream.
If this experiment is going to succeed in the long term then we don't need more videos - we need better storytelling.

With the new Gemma vid “They Disappeared…”, it appears as if they are going to try to plow through with 2 simultaneous storylines. Gemma carrying the "Darkside" and Bree carrying the "Lightside".
The forums came to a grinding halt all of a sudden so we'll see how this pans out. As fans, we've invested so much time and energy into this venture, now we're starving for something a little more substantial. We want to play along!

Sadly, You are probably right. All we've seen so far is exactly wwhat people say they want. They say it is interactive, but it's almost like they have no brain of their own. One more example is the new vid, where she puts back in own, thor and P. Monkey again. I recoded and slowed down the sped up part, but Nothing beneficial came out of it, and it was hard to understand. It was sped up too much. I respect you. |

(Bree in proving longitude wrong).
Like videos that look like they belong in the series, but aren't canon?
Also, on YOu Tube a lot of ppl are trying to figure out where Daniel and Bree are and the "drops" are by longitude clues. Are they off base?

He also says, "Why would you ask...",and is then interupted by Bree. I found this weird. Is it unusual for someone to ask someone else about someone they both went to school with? I think not. |
