| maybe the trail of crumbs is a reference to hanzel and gretel. so maybe daniel and bree are going to find themselves at an evil witch's house who sugar-coats herself with a candy house....DUN DUN DUNNN: LUCY!!! damn, i'm brilliant. |

Is it just me, or has Gemma changed her appearance? To me she looks a lot more like Bree - similar hairstyle, similar clothes, etc.
Of course, I'm just a guy - what do I know?

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking as well.
She warned bree in her other videos. Said it wasn't really her choice, then the deacons came bac saying Bree didn't have a choice. Then the other family disapeared, now Bree's parent's have dissapeared. This video goes on about how people who you thought were one thing turn out to be another. Gemma knows the power of the Order and is talking in code.

Wow. That's really good stuff. You could be right - in which case we should all bow down before your wisdom. 
It does explain the apparent idiocy of Gemma seeming to ignore what's happened over the past couple of days. Maybe we should give her the benefit of the doubt, and assume she really is a bright, concerned friend of Bree's who's doing the best she can to help.

that is cool. maybe they went to go track down the deacons?
I like Gemma's character it's almost like she's leaving clues that Bree just needs to think outside the box to find out about them.
I personally think that this video reminds me slightly of Bree's video, the style of random running around the room etc. etc. It was entertaining but I really want to know what happened to Bree's parents! |

Good analyses, guys We have definitely seen a case in this series in which someone was posting something other than what it seemed, that is, Bree's videos during the fake ceremony episodes.
So she said that others have become beasts, except Danielbeast. OK, so this most definitely implicates the Order, but we may also include her parents in her statement of beastiness, since they weren't explicitly ruled out.
Her breadcrumb story was not quite Bree shrugging off her clues, though. The flatmate was the perpetrator of a crime, not the one needing help in solving it. What this breadcrumb story may actually be saying is that Bree(represented by Gemma) is following clues about a crime but the guilty people she finds at the end of the trail(represented by the flatmate) will try to deceive her again, or try to escape responsibility for the crime(by pretending it never happened?).
EDIT: Oh yeah, she says "they're great on a night out, but turn into beasts the next morning"(paraphrase). This could indicate the fake ceremony night out, and how they've turned into beasts following this event ^_^

In fact, right after the night of the ceremony Bree DID view the Order as sort of beastly. Annoying, not nice people. Like Gemma's flatmates. That's when she decided not to go through with the ceremony.
EDIT: I could go further and say that the miming of the argument by Gemma represents Bree's parents arguing with the Deacons. I'm outta control!

Yes, it's obnoxious that as her friend she did not show more concern for Bree. Obviously she missed a few friend classes. We've all known people who viewed things as "oh, your dog died? Well I stubbed my toe, and it's horrible!"
My point simply is, yes, she is obviously a bad friend for not showing enough concern if she has seen the videos.
But remember that she never said these vlogs were just for Bree. She said that Bree inspired her to start one. So her audience is not just Bree, but anyone who might come across her videos and want to know more about her life. Imagine how obnoxious it would be in the real world if someone started a vlog, and then proved that the only thing of interest in their life is to comment about someone else's life. Yes, there may be some out there like that, but are they intriguing?
If Gemma was a real person she would still vlog about her own life, since she wants to tell her story, and not just rehash someone else's. She could do that by joining the forums.

THANK YOU, RACHELALEXIS! I was trying to find the right way to express this, but you've done it for me.
Gemma expresses concern about not having heard from Bree in a couple days at the beginning of her video. I think she has seen and is referring to the last couple of videos from Daniel's house when she says this. Then she turns to a different subject, to make a video about her life. What the heck is wrong with that? Did you expect her to spend the whole video wringing her hands and saying "I haven't heard from you" over and over for two or three minutes? I think her concern seems genuine, but not overblown. I think she wonders why she hasn't heard from Bree, but is not in a panic about it. And her life goes on.... |

I'm surprised nobody has yet mentioned the thing she says at the end, about how it's helping her learn to appreciate different lifestyles. If we're meant to be interpreting everything she says as veiled hints directed toward Bree, I'd say this part fits fairly well.
Overall I found the video rather silly. Her flatmate must have just been CRAMMING those biscuits in her mouth to leave that many crumbs on the floor all the way back to her room...

Oh guys, relax. It's a silly vid! It's a funny vid! It's Gemma's life! And I think that this definitely has some great metaphors that a lot of people have come up with, but it's also Gemma's version of a Proving Science Wrong video.
