Demand the creators keep Yousef? (IF they seriously considered dumping him)
Yes, it just wouldn't be the same.

WHO'S WITH ME. What a waste of time will this all have been if they just get rid of him now! Let's get the creators to at least confirm this? I mean.. seriously. That's like having a PBnJ without the peanut butter!

Unless Yousef specifically doesn't want to be a part of it, I think this situation is ALL wrong.

I'm extremely disappointed about losing Daniel, but I doubt I'm going to stop watching (unless the plot and storyline just go further south without him).

Main characters are cut out of ongoing series all the time. Often they are fired for one reason or another. Typically, though, the line between the actor's real life and the characters is not so blurred.

As much as I'm sad about Daniel going away, it's still a fictional series, and these things happen soemtimes.

Yeah I think banning the whole series is a bit overreacting. As much as I'm dissapointed about Yousef being gone, and the fact that it was spoilered, it's not enough for me to stop watching/participating.

Yousef's departure from the show is sad. I'm willing to see where the show goes from here, but I'm doubtful that I will enjoy it as much without him.

However, I don't think we have the right to actually demand anything from the creators. It's their show, they can do what they want with it. We can only choose to watch or not watch.

Personally, I would be bored to death without Daniel's addition to the plot. He spies on the ceremony, he stalks Bree, he makes videos about "doing drugs" and "taking advantage of Bree" (LOL), and he's just a character that's interesting to watch. He conveys more to the audience with fewer videos. Bree's videos are usually good, and I'm not a fan of Gemma's vids thus far. I have to say there are so few characters in this thing, if anything they need more, they certainly should not be taking away the comic relief, lead male, genuinely likable Danielbeast. This thing is based on the relationship between Bree and Daniel: Daniels curiosities about Bree's religions and his need to protect her, and Bree's uncertainty about possible romance with Daniel. What's left if he's gone? What's the plot?

Banning watching something isn't over-reacting IMO. Being mad because an actor you liked was let go, the people are trying to get art for free with T-shirt designs, and spam emailing everyone asking to "tell a friend" is a SIGN. Time to make some money and lose integrity and originalness. Make it "marketable" to the fullest extent. blech.

Believe me, I'm a Lost fan. So I know ALL about having your favourite characters/actors kick the bucket for seemingly no reason whatsoever. (Hint: They were both female) Laughing

I just dont understand what the big deal is about the marketing aspect. I mean, you make a great product, and you wanna make some money off that product. Yeah, the email thing was definately heavy handed, and the t-shirt thing is pretty lame, but I think they have the right to want to "make it big".

I dont know. Stuff like that isn't enough to keep me from watching.

Don't throw the t-shirt contest in there, though. I mean, it's a contest. They have the rights to offer whatever prizes they want, and entering is completely voluntary. That's supposed to be fun and creative.

Fans ARE getting ripped off though. I hope no one is naive enough to come up with a good design and let them have it to sell all they want in exchange for nothing more than one free t-shirt... which they designed! Just use one of those things where you print the design and can iron it on for heaven's sake!

I AM FURIOUS ABOUT THE OUSTER OF YOUSEF. I can't believe you guys would dump him so unfairly. Do you have a new corporate partner? Because I see how suddenly a whole crew is listed, we have this guy from Texas sending us spam e-mail about "please promote LG15!", we have Lucy and others now being named, it sure sounds like they are going to be taking this big time (what with everyone being credited as SAG laws dictate), and with the otherwise totally irrational dumping of Yousef you just know there's a higher power involved.

PROTEST, REVOLT, DON'T LET THIS STAND

Fixed.

Fixed.

Edit: Moderators, please be mature and not edit other peoples posts when you do not agree with the content. If you have never seen someone edit a quote and add ‘Fixed.’ at the end to comically point out the edit then you have now, please do not go in and change the tone of my posts. Censorship is pretty lame and I for one am quite unimpressed - a feeling that I am increasingly associating with LG

Fun and creative? Oh yes, it is. Making money off of other's peoples hard work is FUN and definately CREATIVE.

Remember reading something like this:
Quote:
Where the line between fan and actor is blurred and fans will get paid for their efforts?
oo, how gracious. Paid with a T-shirt!
