At the risk of going off-topic again, I like your avatar too Lass. Sinfest is great. And yes, we need a change-up in these vids soon.

Interesting you would mention the first vid. It was just strange enough to not only haunt but make me want to do a Bree/Lizard morph in the first place. The cartoon dino is a bit hard for my limited talents, so I settled for something a little easier.

This is amusing to me, as I'm currently playing Resident Evil, a game in which exactly these sorts of experiments took place, only they were going for Bio-Organic Weapons, not eternal life. They even combined lizard DNA with people, creating some REALLY nasty monsters called "hunters". If your theories are correct, Daniel better find a shotgun...  |
Ooo, yeeeah. Let's not call it a theory just yet. That was my brain desperately trying to make all this symbolism actually relate to something concrete. I feel like we're going in circles.
As for RE that's interesting about the lizard DNA. I barely began the game when my x-bf went and took his system back after a fight. Not at all differant from the time I abrubtly ended a game of Candyland in kindergarden cuz I was losing. At least I was able to finish Silent Hill...
(goes off to put Daniel's head on the terminator)

I think if I only followed the "canon" videos: Bree/Daniel/gemma I would have that floundering sensation.
But whenever I watch a spinoff; Opahid, Tachyon, Ms Kelly, Nikki Bowers
I get the feeling that it is all part of a master plan,coming together sslloowwlllyyy. I really hope it all comes together , and I really hope the Creators have a plan...... |

I enjoy some of the spinoffs immensely, sometimes even moreso than the creators' vids, but I don't really see how the two have much to do with each other. Either the creators have a "master plan" leading toward a specific story conclusion, which ultimately can't be affected by spinoffs, or they are flying by the seat of their pants, allowing the forums and other videos to shape the story, meaning they aren't ultimately leading toward anything. These two possibilities are mutually exclusive. I'm seriously hoping it's not the latter. That was kinda my initial point in creating this thread.

I think I just don't see it as either/or.
I think the creators could have a great masterplan that overlaps some of the better spinoffs and still leads to their planned conclusion.
Since spinoffs are born from parts of the plot, it all kind of merges together to me. So I can't see how it is mutually exclusive.
I think I am saying I agree with you, that I hope they have a master plan.
Where I may differ is that I don't get that floundering feeling. I do feel like this is all going somewhere specific. Maybe because I really enjoy the spinoffs and they seem to "flesh out" the story and characters for me because they are all connected. Or it is just wishful thinking and blind faith that the Creators must have a plan!
I hope this makes some sense. |

I have a theory about what her shots were, but with all theories this is a chance I'm way off. Anyway what I was thinking is that the shots were Ketamine.

I think they want her to have an out of body experience or maybe they are going to do a painful ceremony and need the K to keep her calm. The whole issue of her being impregnated seems plausible to me because Ketamine is also used as a date rape drug. |

Maybe all these seemingly random unrelated stories they keep telling us really DO contain vital clues, all of which will culminate in a masterpiece of creative storytelling by the end of the series. But it's starting to seem more to me like they are just trying to please everyone but don't really have any kind of plan behind it, or their plan keeps shifting so often to try to accomodate everyone that it simply isn't working.
Is there anybody else who feels this way? |

Maybe they have a general idea and rough outline where they would like the story to go, but tailor it as they go along, partly to satisfy viewers.
