Danielbeast. A lot of people have believed there was some significance to his name - a biblical reference to the Beast in the book of Daniel.

Perhaps we've reached a point where Bree's Daniel suddenly has a Revelation of his own. Then again, I could just be so tired that I'm halucinating.

I kind of like the sound of that. perhaps this is more symbolic than an actual clue. A motif of sorts.

Maybe there are some ties between Bree's upbringing/religion/whatever and the Bible, and Daniel's reading those areas to learn more so he understands her better. Maybe they're thinking if they knew more, they'd be better prepared...

Isn't it also possible that there wasn't anything else to read in the motel room?

I think if we had seen more about the bIble it might be significant, but I don't think it was enough.

I usually get bored when I stay in hotels/motels. And I'm not religious or anything, but I usually end up flipping through the Bible. Ever notice that it's a pretty interesting book, if you don't read anything into it?

Anyway, I don't really think he was reading the Bible for any specific reason. Looks like things are getting pretty boring on the run.

You could tell he was mostly in the Old Testament? Geez, I hope not. The Old Testament God had lots of strict rules and quite the temper. I'd hate for that to mean the Flood is coming or that Bree will have a test of faith to the Order by sacrificing Daniel ..but then stopped just in the nick of time.

I definately see the symmetry there for Daniel to do a bibliomancy. Yet, I much prefer our Daniel to be the kind of guy who writes his own future.

Overall, I was thinking while the motel room check-list was sort of cute it was a little odd to. Almost as if it was code for a differant kind of check-list. Although, Bree didn't say, "Beads...check!" It was an interesting addition. I'd really like to know what they mean.

So in other words, he was getting high off the word of the Lord. That's ..uh..pretty big cigar.

Well, the cigar thang was a Freud reference, shorthand for "sometimes things can be overanalyzed".

Wink Yip, I caught the referance. Was just havin alittle metaphoric freudian fun. It's about all you can do when they don't come out and tell you what's going on. I both love and hate a mystery.
