I'm assuming the videos that Tachyon has posted now are starting from the middle of things. |

One little thing, where you mention that "Thelema is a of ?" it should read "Thelema is 1 of ?"
Hopefully it's not too late to help Rom... I've compiled a rough timeline including LG15 and OpAphid stuff. I've excluded the batch of videos dealing with Cassie because it doesn't seem much relevant other than to give us Tachyon's phone number. In my opinion those were mainly a clever device to steal the attention of the ARG audience.
Most times are taken from the revver videos posting timestamps and a few are estimates of when people noticed the event. Feel free to suggest any significant event I might've missed.

The new "Story" recap minus puzzles/answers it the smoothest digest recap I have read so far.
Can someone update the LGPedia with that for those who want to get the story at a glance? Also, it still lists OpAphid as unofficial.

Yeah, i guess what im saying is... if she is supposed to be canon (which is what we are led to believe even if you dont) why would she come to be known because of her 5 cassie videos. I mean... why would she make videos of something that didnt have anyhting to do with LG15 at all... that was fanfic? So does that mean op is not canon because she was started from something fake to begin with? |
I haven't seen anyone answer your question yet, so I'll try. If I missed the answer, I apologize for the trout.
When the LG15 series started, they gained popularity by "piggy-backing" off the popularity of other YTer's (see the wired magazine article for more info).
Oppy took a page from thier playbook ... when Op started making videos, she used CassieIsWatching as a cataylst for her own popularity. By making these "Response videos" to Cassie, she built her audience from those of us who were in the Cassie ARG and were eventually let down. Once the phone number was discovered from the 5 Cassie videos, Op does not mention her much despised "Cassandra" again.
Also, it has been confirmed that Oppy did not start out as Cannon, but as her own independent ARG. Sometime after Gemma was introduced to the storyline, a dialouge opened between the OpAPHID PM's and the LG15 PM's. And, as they say, the rest is history.

I'm not sure if there is anything else on this but I found out through private communication with a site admin who has word from the creators
"FYI... in case you didn't know. OA is not the Creators. It was, and continues to be fan-fic, just one that has an exchange of ideas between the LG15 production team and itself."

I got my info the same way Tiger did ... TWJ made a "statement" on behalf of the creators.
Unfortunetly, I don't have a log of what specifically he said .. but maybe he'll drop by and make a post about it.

Hmm.. thanks for this info... I still don't get it. But it helped alot.
So, what side are we supposed to be on? Tach's or Op's? To me, it sounds like Op is working for the Order, and the Order is bad, soooo we're on Tach's side? Ugh... I don't know... |

It really depends on your point of view there. Someone once suggested it could be a religion (OpAphid) vs. law (Tachyon) type of thing, since "bureau" was used to refer to Tach and Brother's organization.
As for me...

Okay.. is Tach still working for Op? Or is she trying to help out Brother? Or is Brother working for Op?
Or are we, the people playing, supposed to be Op?
I'm confused because of something Op said in the 5th drop.. We look forward to finding out the results, once we decode what Tachyon left behind
for her friends and "family" to recover.
So, obviously Op (we) have the results. But did Tach leave them for us - to get the info to Op - or for us to get the info to Brother? Because it seems like she's helping us interpret the information, and it seems like Op is as well. ..I'm just not sure who she is supposed to be working for?

I am a Noob but here is my take...
I thought that Tachy and Brother are working together to stop OpA...
OpA is trying to use the same community that Tachy and Brother are using to work against them...
This means you can try to choose a side or you can try to remain neutral in all of this...
But it is clear that it is OpA vs. Tacy, Brother, Bree, Daniel and Jonas...
