Dear Twjaniak,

I should say that I am quite appaled by your recent sticky in this forum.

For outsiders, what really happened was this:
The PM of the OpAphid ARG contacted Tigerlilylynn, amongst other crewmembers of this forum, because of the mail OpAphid sent to a select few people. To put it short, it wasn't meant to go public, and the PM of OpAphid asked for her to remove the topic. She complied with this, because undoubtedly she realized that it's in the game's interest if the commands of the PM are followed.

Twjaniak was asked the same question, and he said No. Apparently he thought that OpAphid was speaking to him as the character OpAphid, not the PM of the game OpAphid. Apparently he thought Tigerlilylinn was abusing her moderator powers, because she is supposedly on Op's side, and as such made a sticky with false and untrue accusations, which you see on this forum now.

So Twjaniak, whatever impression you may have about the OpAphid ARG, please do realize that you are not a PM of the game. Nor are the creators. It is none of your business to interfere with the PM-ing of the game, and deciding what information about it should get out in the open or not. The PM's decide this, not you. I really hope you realize this, because if I see any other interference on the game by your or the creators hands, I (amongst others who are severely pissed with you at the moment) might have to look for another ARG to play.

And to the OpAphid PM('s), please be more clear as to whether you are talking out of character or in character.. and please don't rely too much on information remaining secret. You know that no secret is safe with the internet around.

I whole-heartedly agree with Scalare.

The OpAphid forum mods are doing an excellent job. I think Tiger did the right thing.

I don't believe TWJ thought Op was In Character but that they were out of line. The creators may have contracted in a degree of control over the game when they merged but we need to all understand how much control and who is in control for when problems emerge. Communication is the key to all good relationships

Added info, I think the PMs wanted the chat to not focus on Op since the chat was really a place for Jonas to put the moves on...I mean HELP Bree out of her current situation (but not replace Daniel because that would be dastardly on the part of the creators pandering to 12 year old balls of estrogen...but that's a different disagreement with the creators ;p)

I have no idea what went down, but I know Tiger is intelligent & an awesome mod (& pretty damn cool to hang out with) so I stand by what Scalare is saying fully.

I trust tiger...but that being said, the minute OpAphid agreed to become 'canon' with LG15 creators, some of OpAphid's control on things, especially things on this forum, was given up to the creators. TWJ represents them as admin, and we can't just assume he didn't speak with them before posting. I agree we should know how much control was given up, but it's a bit presumptuous to get crappy about it when OpAphid made the decision to link up with the creators, thus giving them some say over what happens. Regardless, whatever happens on this form IS under the creator's control, since it's their site, kwim?

I just went and read the entire thread (all idiotic 11 pages) in the rubbish bin, and I gotta say that the last 4 or 5 pages were pretty much crap. So, while the thread may have started off well, it dissolved into pure mayhem. I agree that it should have been removed and I think that Tiger acted correctly. I would have thrown it into the rubbish bin WAY earlier then she did, based on just how off topic people got.

I really do apologize to Tiger.

after hearing the whole story, and what happened, i felt like crap. Because i really do respect what she does for the forum, and for the members. I thankful I never laid the blame on anyone per say. I had my suspissions, but I'm happy I never voiced them. Because i would have been completely wrong.
In my opinion I believe that it was an abusive act on te PMs side. If they didn't want that information out, they should not have posted it on youtube, and sent it one by one to people. Oters would have a posted it. (~broken record~ lol).
Either way I apologise to TigerLyn for causing such a hubbub on this matter if I did. I was aggrivated, as I believed that it was taken down due to some one saying that I was faking it or gamejacking. I was aggrivated and insulted that people who I've been playing the game with would PM me and accuse me me of game jacking.

So sorry tiger and everyone!!

Whether or not the thread should have been deleted, whether the Op PMs are miscommunicating with the LG creators, or with the players, isn't really the issue. It's TWJ making a sticky with the title "Moderator Abuse" and calling Tiger's integrity into question on a public forum. If he was really concerned with her actions, couldn't he have simply PMd her and the other mods with the change in policy? Why the need for public castigation?
