As a layman who knew nothing about the other situations and had only read the complaint thread where someone stated there were 'several instances they messaged twj about'...it doesn't seem to call you out and thus isn't seen that way. I don't fault you at all for the thread deletion, for the record, but I also don't appreciate newer forum members coming in and singling out another admin who from what all of us have seen is pretty fair and even tempered. I wasn't in chat, etc. I don't chat, so whatever happens there is null and void since I only concern myself with the fora. To me, the thread deletion thread was nothing to raise a stink over, once we knew what happened, however there seem to be other members here who have 'issues' with other things and have messaged twj about those things previous to this incident.

I have accused no one of gamejacking. Many people on this forum however have. Some have accused those who provided valid information in regards to this game, and some others have accused those discussing real information. All in all, it was distracting and needed to be dealt with. In all cases, the request to delete these topics or individual posts came from the PM behind OA. We as mods have acted on behalf of that party.

In regards to the thread started by Killthesmiley that exposed OA's private message about the chat: I was asked to delete that in its entirety, not because it was a fake, but because later contributions to the thread did deteriorate due to the inclusion of invalid information.

I did not delete the post outright at first because I believed Smiley was playing the game. Although OpAhid might have disapproved of the sharing of the information, I had no doubt Tachyon would find it laughable. I believed it was relevant to the game; I made the call that it should stay because I didn't want to see a valid expression of game play on this forum curtailed.

The OA forums are still controlled by the its mods and administrators. The same policies that effect the rest of the LG15 site are in effect here. The OA PM has some say, especially when it comes to directing the game, but the final decision of what happens on the forums remains with its mods. I thought the full out deletion of smiley's post wasn't necessary, even if many of the posts it contained needed to be deleted for the good of the game. Unfortunately, due to the demands on my time in regards to preparing for the chat, I was not able to selectively sort through that thread as was needed. I appolgize to the OA forum moderators for not keeping you abreast of what was going on. If I had, this whole mess could have been avoided.

No mod or admin is guilty of gamejacking. We took actions that we all thought we're in the best interest of the game; remained true to the open nature of the LG 15 forums; and reflected the will of the OA PM. I am guilty of poor communication with the other mods for that I am heartly sorry.
