It was clear, as they are Americans, they were referring to Oct. 12, and indeed the ceremony (real or fake) happened on that day. That's what they were preparing us for. Nothing special will happen today, Bree had no way of forseeing this that's for sure, let alone drop a hint it would be happening months ago.

12/10 means december 10th in america, not october 12th.

That's my point, a lot of people around here seem to be waiting for the big event to happen today because of the whole 10-12 thing. Lots of the British fans here figured it meant Dec. 10 while the Americans assumed it was Oct. 12. Something happened on Oct. 12, yet people around here are still expecting something to happen today as well. I was saying the Creators are American and probably didn't even realize that saying 10-12-06 would be December 10 to many people. It was basically me telling them to stop waiting.

Question

... Y'all know that LG15 takes place in sunny California right? And that the creators are American. The only two people involved with LG15 that aren't "america" are Jessica Rose and the girl who plays Gemma.

Exactly, so I will explain to Alex again...
Lots of people have been waiting with baited breath for the big December 10 event.
As you might know, in the Cookie episode P. Monkey held up the infamous 10-12-06. I, along with all the Americans, read that to be October 12. Some Brits pointed out however that maybe it means December 10 because that's the way they do the dates. So now lots of people are anxiously awaiting the big thing they see as promised them tonight.

Of course, Oct. 12 is not only Crowley's birthday but also was the date of the "Ceremony". Since the Creators are American, there is no reason to assume anything but that they had meant Oct. 12. However people are still waiting up to see what big thing will happen tonight, and I keep telling them don't, they're two months late...

Lol, perhaps its a good idea if the creators start saying "October 12, 2006". Instead of 10-12-06. Then we wouldn't be fighting over this right now.

Sorry people in England and anywhere else, but the date most likely meant Oct. 12. Oh, bummer, right, you missed it.

Haha well we know P. Monkey is crazy, but him rating a cookie with a score of "October"? He's not even that insane.
