I sent this to Tachyon:
So, I'm just checking to verify the movie time list that was compiled yesterday. I was unable to help due to familial obligations, but I'd like to make sure everything is correct before we start the next step.

HOUSEPARTY: 3:36/3:37PM
SWINGERS: 2:32AM
BREAKFAST CLUB: 7:45AM
RISKY BUISNESS: 3:30PM
THREE O'CLOCK HIGH: 7:52/7:53AM
HEATHERS: 9:55PM (Approx)
CRUEL INTENTIONS: 2:15AM
THE SURE THING: Midnight (We're still not sure about this one!)
THE GAME: 10:05AM
HIDING OUT: 5:10PM
JUST ONE OF THE GUYS: 60minutes
BACK TO THE FUTURE: 8:09p.m.
WAR GAMES: 19:37:42

Got this message back:

So I sent this:
Is there anyway you could hit me with a brick and tell me which four?

Pretty please?

And she sent this:

Can we get a condensed thread without such a long first post? Makes it damn near impossible to figure out what's going on for anyone just joining us!

I guess we should focus on figuring out what D and 2 are first, before we re-think all the others.

How did we know these are confirmed? Is that just because we're pretty certain we found the right thing, or because Tachy said something?

There was confirmation from Tachyon that four of the movies are wrong as of the last list submitted to her.

We know that two of the four are Back to the Future and The Sure Thing.

These threads are a total mess. Can a kindly mod make sense of this, por favor? Laughing

Also, I know it sounds kind of hardcore. But if we are looking for clock times and scenes, can someone screen cap the scenes in question?

If anything, it might make it so we don't have to re-verify what we based our answers off of!

putting my money where my mouth is, here is verification on Risky Business (which makes me think it's 29 or 28 btw):

here is the "you didn't tell anyone" part:

then Tom Cruise in bio or science class or whatever:

looking up at the clock, which he does three seperate times:

FYI: Easy to do this if you use Media Player Classic, it's free and it lets you save JPG screen grabs!

Screen grabs rule. Just checked Breakfast Club and came up with this to verify:

Bender yells out "F--- You" with sonic like echo underneath it:

Scene after he looks beaten by it:

Clock shot at :44 after the hour (not 45 as previously noted):

I had thought originally it could be that scene where Emilio Estevez yells and shatters the glass. BUT there is one critical thing that tells us it is not the case, just re-read the first part of the clue;

Emilio Estevez is NOT a bad-ass. Laughing

At least not in this film.

No. In fact, someone refers to him, in the movie, as a bad-ass (Bender, I mean, not E.E.)

if you say "bad ass" and "Breakfast Club" to anyone who has seen the movie, John Bender is the first character who comes to mind.

isn't there a Kevin Smith line about him being the only guy in Shermer, IL who is not a wuss?

and Emilio's character's remorse over the duct taping incident hardly makes him a bad-ass. the guy clearly has some pent up aggression issues he needs to confront! Laughing
