Yes. I loved Neuromancer, but thought that using the title character would be too cliche. In retrospect, I should have chosen a different character... Maybe "Dixie Flatline" or "McCoy Pauley" or even "The Finn." But I've used Wintermute for so long now that I should probably never change it...

My handle comes from a penname I used with friends in high school.
Flauta = "flute" in Spanish. I was a majorly proud band nerd in middle and high school. I played the flute and piccolo in the marching, Concert, and Symphonic bands.
Pantera = "panther" in Spanish, my high school mascot.
So...very exciting.

You could have been piccolopantera. No, Flautapantera has a better flow. |

My story is completely boring. I got done watching The Incredibles and then decided to join a forum. I chose that name and it just kinda stuck in my travels to other forums and whatnot.
I've never really been given a nickname other than "WooWoo", which I refuse to use. |
