Oh, that's cool! Where are you from? We might cross paths on to our destinations. Laughing

Chicago's a great place to be, tho. Except when it's freezing and i'm waiting for the El. But...meh. I'll get over that.

At least some of those little "shelters" on the El platforms have handy electric heaters... It's been getting chillier than usual out here, and I've found myself wishing they had those things, here!

You get a chance to hang out in "Wicker Park" or the "Gold Coast"? Wink

I'm from Indiana. Illinois born, Indiana raised, Midwestern purebred Razz

Seriously, I just figured out that you could turn those heaters on and off like...two weeks ago. I've been here over three months. Lol. That was a great discovery, tho.

I don't think i've been there. I live up north by the lake, and i mostly hang around Belmont and the Loop. Haven't had much time to explore yet, cuz of school, and the freezing cold. But soon!

That's pretty sweet. I lived in Chicago for about 12 or so years... I was pretty much raised there.

Oh, so now you can switch em on and off, eh? Before I left you could only turn them on and they'd stay on for a minute or two, then you'd have to hit the button again to turn it on for another couple minutes. LOL

Every time I've been back to Chicago, since then it's been during warmer weather. Between May and June (for Anime Central).

Ah, I see... So you've been down State Street to see the Holiday windows, at Carson Pierie Scott and Marshall Fields? Though maybe they've close down Fields...

Belmont's a pretty cool area. You do mean by the El, right? I used to hang out around there a lot. Is the Melrose Cafe still there?

Sorry to talk your ear off about the city. I do miss the place, but I wouldn't be able to afford moving back there. *sighs*

Yeah, I have...downtown is really pretty around Christmas. And Fields is still open, but I think they turned it into a Macy's, since Macy's bought them out. I'd be sad if it closed...where would I get Frango mints?

Yes I do mean by the El Very Happy . I have a friend who lives near there, so I'm in Wrigleyville/Belmont often. I don't know about the Melrose Cafe...I know Clarke's is there, and the usual scary sex shops.

It's cool. I like the city. I'm sure i'll miss it, too, when I go home for break.
