Rupert's Dead is the two-hundred eighty-sixth webisode in the KateModern video series. It is also the one-hundred thirty-first video of season two.
Transcript
Text: KateModern contains products which have been included within the show on behalf of Toyota
(Lauren sits in the passenger side of Charlie's car with her laptop on her lap. She sighs and looks at Charlie. Charlie turns the camera on herself.)
Charlie: Okay, things aren't going so good. We went to the police, and they said that there wasn't enough there; there wasn't enough for them to go off, with Rupert and Julia.
Lauren: Yeah, and it weren't trespassing. Twats.
Charlie: I kinda don't think they believe us, so we went back to the house. (Shakes her head.) Julia, Rupert, and the Shadow were all gone. What's worse is this video we've got from Julia's phone.
Lauren: Yeah, and we're putting it all up, so we've got proof of what's going on.
(Lauren types on the laptop. Cut to a low quality closeup of Julia.)
Julia: (Sighs.) I can't believe you were at dad's, filming. That's the real Rupert. (Sighs.) I'm so sorry, I've just been so stupid. (Chokes back tears.) Rupert only wanted the bond for his image, because you put that video up on the internet, and I know it's not your fault. I just wanted to do it, you know? Um... I didn't-- I just-- You know.
He saw the video you put up, and he's gone mental. Charlie... Charlie, Charlie, look after yourself, because if he sees you, he's gonna go mad. (Begins crying.) He says I've got no friends, and that I'm the loneliest and saddest person in the whole world. And he wants to take me to Paris, but I don't know where he wants to take me, and I just don't--
(The door is heard slamming open as the camera spins and Julia screams. Rupert and Michelle Clore's Shadow appear at the door.)
Rupert: What the hell are you doing?
(Rupert lunges at Julia and the camera flies to the floor as she screams.)
Rupert: Pick her up.
(Rupert appears over the camera and stomps on it. Cut back to Charlie in the car.)
Charlie: I've never seen anything so bad.
Lauren: Julia has got mates.
Charlie: We're going to make Rupert pay for what he's done to Jules, even if it means cutting off his balls--
Lauren: Uh, first something, Charlie... (Grabs the camera.)
Charlie: --and feeding them to him!
(Charlie takes the laptop from Lauren.)
Lauren: What do you think?
(Charlie stares at the laptop and slowly nods.)
Charlie: Yup. What do you think of Rupert now?
(Charlie hands the laptop back to Lauren. She puts on her seat belt and begins driving.)
