Daniel's parents were mentioned in the video Where's Daniel? In the Silent Treatment video Daniel described his parents as "not the hands-on type." Indeed, his parents don't care when Daniel goes missing for months at a time. In Drinking Problems, Daniel reveals that his parents are both recovering alcoholics, which according to him is likely a large part of why they are so distant. Although Daniel does not admit it outright, it is implied that Daniel may also be an alcoholic because of his parents' influence.
