I Miss You... is the one-hundred fifty-eighth webisode in the KateModern video series. It is also the third video of season two. It was uploaded as "I Miss You" to YouTube.
Transcript
(The camera is looking at the door in Kate's room. It slowly pans to the empty bed.)
Charlie: They've gone now. The police have taken all the bedding. Nothing else. I guess it's pretty much all that's left.
(Charlie sits down on the bed in front of the camera.)
I miss you, Kate. Um... I'm so sorry I w-wasn't here, and I don't even know if I should be... saying this, I don't-... But we wanted to... all of us... wanted to... um, say something to you. All of us who loved you wanted to leave you a message; a la- a last message.
Um... I'm sorry I wasn't here, and I'd give anything to have one more day with you. You know, you lit this place up, and you made me feel warm, and you lit me up, and... How could someone take you away from us? Someone so precious; someone that we loved? Um...
You used to think my sangas were disgusting and I would go so mental at you when you'd touch all my stuff, and now I just wish that you were here with me. You'd tell me-- You'd tell me that I did the right thing coming back. You would tell me that it was okay that (Begins to cry.) pretending to be Kim's aunt was so hard. Rose is her mum now, not me, but you would tell me it was gonna be okay.
(Charlie hugs Kate's jacket as she cries.)
You- You were so happy... When we were in Devon last summer before you went away with Michelle Clore, you were so happy away from everything. And y-you couldn't sleep then; you couldn't sleep. (Sobs.) And now you can sleep. You can sleep, Kate. Goodnight, Kate; I miss you so much.
Notes
- This video appears to confirm that it was Kate who died, although there is speculation that Kate faked her death to escape the Order.
- There is speculation that Kate is alive and will continue her quest to save trait-positive girls.
- Both the lonelygirl15 and KateModern series have had their main character (at least, allegedly) die after one season.
- Charlie tells of how Kate couldn't sleep just like Sarah in Can't Sleep... with Me.
