The Biblical Hebrew "Urim and Thummim" is emblazoned across the open book pictured on the Yale shield, a legacy of Yale College president Ezra Stiles. It is translated in Latin on a banner below as "Lux et Veritas" ("Light and Truth").
A treasure hunt for "the" Urim and Thummim (as a unique artifact or possible prophet) forms the central plot of the John Bellairs novel The Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost.
Bree has been referenced as Urim and Thummim she may hold a prophecy that needs to be fufilled in the now famous Deacons posts.
